Swift (Japanese: スピードスター Speed Star) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. In Generation I and II, it is available as TM39. In Generation III and IV, it is available from a move tutor.

Effect
Generation I
Swift inflicts damage and is unaffected by modifications to the Accuracy stat and Evasion stat. It can hit a Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of moves such as Dig and Fly.
Generation II
Swift inflicts damage and is unaffected by modifications to the Accuracy stat and Evasion stat. It will not hit a Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of moves such as Dig and Fly. Swift does not make contact if the target uses a move such as Protect.
Generation III and onwards
Swift hits both opposing Pokémon in a double battle.

In the anime, Swift fires multiple gold stars at the target. Swift does not always make contact with the target.
Pokémon
Staryu. Staryu shoots out stars from the gem in the center of its body.
- Used by Misty's Staryu from Clefairy and the Moon Stone to present. Debut
Mareep. White stars fly out from its fur.
- Used by Mary's Mareep in Mild N' Wooly
Sandslash. Sandslash spins in a sphere and white stars fly out.
- Used by Koji's Sandslash in Good 'Quil Hunting
Skarmory. Skarmory opens its mouth and yellow stars shoot out.
- Used by Miki's Skarmory in Hot Matches, a wild one in Steeling Peace of Mind! and Tetsuo's in DP118.
Espeon. Espeon opens its mouth and yellow stars shoot out.
- Used by Sakura Espeon in Espeon, Not Included
Murkrow. Murkrow flaps its wings and white stars shoot out.
- Used by Lily's Murkrow in Hocus Pokémon
Flareon. Same as Espeon.
- Used by Savannah's Flareon in Cruisin' for a Losin'.
Houndoom. Same as Espeon.
- Used by Joshua's Houndoom from Mean With Envy to present.
Aipom. Aipom's tail glows white. Aipom then swings its tail around and yellow stars appear and hit into the opponent.
- Used by Ash's Aipom from ??? to Journey to the Unown!
Ambipom. Ambipom's tails glow a yellowish white color, then it swings its tails, often crossing them, and many stars appear and hit the opponent.
- Used by Dawn's Ambipom from Journey to the Unown! to present.
