Trivia
- It is commonly said that Skuntank's cry sounds like flatulence.
- Skuntank weighs 83.8 lbs, which is the same as the male player in Diamond and Pearl. This trait is shared with Fearow, Togekiss, Yanma and Sudowoodo.
- So far, Skuntank is the only non-Fire type Pokémon to learn Flamethrower naturally.
- Before it was made known that Skuntank sprayed from its tail tip, many fans thought the spray came from its rear end like Stunky and real-life skunks and thus comically believed so did its Flamethrower.
Origin
Skuntank is based on a hog-nosed skunk.
Name origin
Skuntank's name appears to be a combination of tank, skunk, and stank, the past tense of stink. Skutank is the same, just with one less letter. Its French name, Moufflair, comes from moufette and flair.
