Bulbapedia:Editor's Hub
This page is a one-stop-shop for editors looking for tips, tricks, and things to do!
This hub page is designed to help editors find something to work on. It covers a range of ways you can share your Pokémon knowledge with the world including creating wanted pages, expanding stub articles, and cleaning up lower quality pages. It also lists specific short-term tasks that need to be finished. Some of the work might be tedious, but a little goes a long way in building an encyclopaedia.
Welcome to the Bulbapedia Bulletin Board! Here, you can find tasks to improve the wiki's coverage of all things Pokémon.
- The Mission Board is recommended for newer users - the tasks here tend to be smaller-scale, such as expanding an existing page with more information. Resources will be provided upon request, to help you accomplish the task.
- The Breaking News Board is all about current events - the tasks here are about cutting edge subjects. Topics here will have a variety of resources available, potentially via Bulbanews.
- The Wanted Board presents a challenge for more-experienced users - make a new page about an elusive subject from scratch! Information about your target might be hard to come by, so be prepared to do some research!
- The Snap Board lists some images that we need uploaded - this includes brand-new images, as well as better versions of existing images. Pictures can help beautify articles, break up large blocks of text, and sometimes show details that would be hard to describe with just words - so get snapping! You can upload your images at the Bulbagarden Archives.
- The Research Board lists game-related questions that will need some research to answer - how does Ability A interact with move B? If you hold item C, does it cancel Ability D's effect? How exactly do you trigger glitch E? If questions like these intrigue you, and you have the relevant game(s), start them up and test your hypothesis! We'd love to see your findings! (Note: Please only use official games. Also, try to play on original hardware if possible, for best accuracy.)
- The Mysteries Board is all about the wiki's burning questions - there is an answer that must be discovered. Topics here may take a bit of research to figure out, but every piece makes the encyclopedia one step closer to complete.
Successfully completing a mission from any board will earn you a guaranteed spot in What's Growing On, our monthly blog post highlighting new content added to Bulbapedia!
