Dark Pulse inflicts damage and has a 20% chance of causing the target to flinch.

Pokémon
Darkrai. A purple ball forms between its hands. It then releases purple circles which fly towards the opponent in a beam-like blast.
- Used by a wild Darkrai in The Rise of Darkrai. Debut.
Spiritomb. Spiritomb releases purple circles from its mouth.
- Used by a wild Spiritomb in The Keystone Pops!.
Toxicroak. A purple ball forms between its hands. It then releases purple circles which fly towards the opponent in a beam-like blast.
- Used by Saturn's Toxicroak to Enter Galactic! to present.
Crawdaunt. It shoots purple circles from both of its claws.
- Used by Kyle's Crawdaunt in Strategy With a Smile!.
Honchkrow. It shoots a beam of purple circles from its beak towards its foe.
- Used by Paul's Honchkrow from Aiding the Enemy to present.
Mismagius. Mismagius necklace glow red and then a purple ball is formed and then releases purple circles towards the foe.
- Used by Fantina's Mismagius in A Shield with a Twist!.
Dusknoir. A purple ball forms between its hands. It then releases purple circles which fly towards the opponent in a beam-like blast.

Trivia
- As of Generation IV, Dark Pulse is currently the only Dark-type move classed as a special move.
- Oddly, Dark-type moves were classed as special moves prior to Generation IV, and since Dark Pulse was introduced in Generation IV, all Generation II and III Dark moves are now physical moves.
