Ludicolo (Japanese: ルンパッパ Runpappa) is a dual-type Water/Grass Pokémon.

It evolves from Lombre via Water Stone. It is the final form of Lotad.

Contents

Biology

Physiology

Ludicolo is a mixture of a pineapple and a duck (or possibly a platypus). Ludicolo sports a green sombrero and a poncho. It is colored yellow with black eyes and an orange bill. Its hands are extremely large in comparison to other Pokémon's hands and its sombrero has a stem coming out of the top of it. There are several dark yellow stripes on its pineapple-like body and around its eyes is a patch of green.

Gender differences

A female has thinner stripes than a male.

Special abilities

Ludicolo can use several attacks such as Nature Power and Mega Drain, its attacks become even more powerful if it hears festive music as its muscles are filled with energy and the particles in its body begin to move faster. Ludicolo also has the power of happiness, its dancing influences other people and Pokémon to join the dance as well. As a last evolution, Ludicolo can use Hyper Beam and Giga Impact

Behavior

Ludicolo are happy to a fault. They dance around without a care in the world all day. If a Ludicolo hears loud, happy music, it will come running to dance along to it. They can't resist joining in with people having a good time.

Habitat

Ludicolo is seen to live in the forests right next to the water. It is also said to appear near laghing children on Hiking Trails.

Diet

Main article: Pokémon food

As Ludicolo is a plant-based Pokémon, it is possible that it obtains some of its energy through photosynthesis.

In the anime

Ludicolo first appeared in Gotta Dance!!. It kept showing up out of nowhere whenever the Poké-Baton was activated.

A Pokémon Trainer named Poncho had a Ludicolo in Go Go Ludicolo.

Brock's Lombre evolved into Ludicolo in Once in a Mawile. It is currently back at Pewter Gym with Brock's siblings.

A trio of wild Ludicolo appeared in Like It or Lup It!.
