Effect
Heat Wave inflicts damage and has a 10% chance of burning the target. Heat Wave hits both opposing Pokémon in double battles.
In the anime
Charizard. Charizard exhales a powerful heated breath.
- Used by Clark's Charizard in Shocks and Bonds against Ash's Grovyle and Ash's Glalie.
Torkoal. Same as above.
- Used by Ash's Torkoal from Overjoyed! to ???.

- Unusually, many Flying-type Pokémon can learn Heat Wave by Platinum move tutor, despite it being a Fire-type. However, this may be because Heat Wave's Japanese name contains the word "wind".
