Blizzard (Japanese: ふぶき Snowstorm) is a damage-dealing Ice-type move introduced in Generation I. It is TM14 in every generation so far.

Effect
Generation I
Blizzard does damage and has a 10% chance of freezing the target. It has an accuracy of 90% in Generation I.
In the Japanese versions of the Generation I main series games, Blizzard had a 30% chance of freezing. The chance was lowered to 10% for Pokémon Yellow's Colosseum 2, the Pokémon Stadium games, and all international Generation I games. [1][2]
Generation II
Blizzard has an accuracy of 70% and has a 30% chance of freezing the target.
Generation III
Blizzard will hit both opponents in a double battle.
Generation IV
Blizzard cannot miss if used while it is hailing. In Diamond and Pearl, it also has a 25% chance of bypassing Protect and Detect, but not in Platinum onward.
Generation V
In triple battles, Blizzard will only hit opposing adjacent Pokémon.

Trivia
- Prior to Generation V Suicune was the only non-Ice-type to learn Blizzard through level-up, but only in Pokémon Platinum and Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Prior to its release, all Pokémon that could learn Blizzard by leveling up were at least part-Ice-type.
