May is preparing for the Verdanturf Contest and is nervous about entering, despite her Skitty’s confidence. Meanwhile Timmy escapes from his mother and shows up to enter as well with his Dusclops, while Jessie from Team Rocket enters with her Dustox again. When the contest starts, while Timmy and Jessie are able to get off good opening appeals, Skitty has trouble with it’s newly-learnt Blizzard and May ends up getting a lower score than the two, making her think she won’t progress to the battle rounds. Meanwhile, Timmy’s mother has discovered where he is and is on her way to the contest to remove her son…

Trivia

  • The title is a pun of the saying, "The Sky's the Limit".

Pokémon Trainer's Choice

  • Question: Trainers, which one of these Pokémon is the best choice to battle Wooper?
  • Choices: Spheal, Delcatty, Zubat
  • Answer: Ok, Trainers! If you chose Spheal, you were right!

Errors

  • The Pokémon Trainer's Choice claims that Spheal would be the best choice to battle Wooper due to Ice-type being super-effective against Ground. However, Wooper is also a Water-type, making an Ice-type move regularly effective against a Water/Ground Pokémon. Furthermore, a Zubat, being part Flying-type, would be immune to Wooper's Ground-type moves.
