Powder Snow (Japanese: こなゆき Powder Snow) is a damage-dealing Ice-type move introduced in Generation II.

Effect

Generation II

Powder Snow inflicts damage and has a 9.8% chance of freezing the target.

Generations III and IV

Powder Snow now has a 10% chance of freezing the target.

Powder Snow hits both opponents in a Double Battle.

Generation V

In a Triple Battle, Powder Snow will only hit opposing adjacent Pokémon.

RSE Blasts the foe with a snowy gust. May cause freezing.
FRLG Blasts the foe with a snowy gust. It may cause freezing.
Colo.XD Blasts target with a snowy gust. May cause freezing.
PMDRB Inflicts damage on the target. It may also leave the target frozen and incapable of action.
DPPtHGSS The user attacks with a chilling gust of powdery snow. It may also freeze the target.
BWB2W2 The user attacks with a chilling gust of powdery snow. It may also freeze the targets.
Conq Create a small blizzard that may also freeze the target.
