From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
Battle Mode is a mode in Pokémon Colosseum in which players can choose to battle using a preselected party in the Phenac Colosseum. The player can choose from four different battle difficulties (easy, normal, hard or ultimate). For each difficulty set there are 6-8 parties of Pokémon to choose from.

Trivia
- Each party in Battle Mode contains different Pokémon that correspond to the parties of Trainers found in Mt. Battle, albeit without any held items. This is applicable to both the player character and the opponent.
Each difficulty level holds Pokémon from the following Mt. Battle Areas:

Mt. Battle Area(s)
Easy

Normal
2,3
Hard
5-7
Ultimate

When looking at the OT of the Pokémon used, the Trainer of the corresponding Mt. Battle Area shows up instead of "Wes" or his alternate names.
