Regirock (Japanese: レジロック Regirock) is a Rock-type legendary Pokémon.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
It is, along with Regice and Registeel, one of the three legendary golems of Hoenn.
Biology
Physiology
Regirock is a large golem made of rocks. Regirock has a braille pattern on its face that resembles a capital letter "H." An interesting thing about Regirock is that the rocks it is made of come from several different places. The reason for this is that whenever it gets damaged in battle, it searches for rocks to repair itself with. This habit also contributes to Regirock's patchwork appearance. What is even stranger is that Regirock has no internal organs.
Gender differences
Regirock is genderless.
Special abilities
Regirock mostly knows Rock, Ground and Fighting-type attacks. For some odd reason, Regirock can learn Electrical attacks, more specifically the move Zap Cannon that it learns naturally. If Regirock is damaged, it can repair itself by building its body with rocks.
Behavior
Habitat
Regirock was sealed in Hoenn's ancient ruins.

Major appearances
Regirock was used by Brandon in Battling the Enemy Within. He used it to battle Ash when he was being possessed by the King of Pokélantis.
Brandon's Regirock also made a brief appearance in Pace - The Final Frontier! along with Registeel where they blasted off Team Rocket.
Brandon used his Regirock again in DP128 in his battle against Paul, easily taking out Paul's Hariyama, Electabuzz, Ursaring, and Magmar.
Minor appearances
Regirock made an appearance with Regice and Registeel in the 8th Pokémon movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. The trio of legendary golems were guardians of the Tree of Beginning, and attacked Ash and his friends. He was the first of the three to do this. In the end Regirock and the other members of its trio turned away and keeped on with protecting the Tree of Beginning.

Trivia
- Regirock is tied with Steelix for having the second highest Defense base stat of all Pokémon, only losing to Shuckle.
- Regirock's footprint has a striking resemblance to a Scarab Beetle.
- However, its footprint is flat and rectangular in the anime.
- Regirock, Regice, and Registeel are the only Pokémon to have the strongest move by base attack power, Explosion, as a starting move.
- Both of the wild Regirock encounters are located in the desert.
- In Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, there is an unobtainable Regirock Doll programmed into the game. It may have been intended to be obtained with the e-Reader.
- In the Pokémon Adventures manga Regirock was the only member of the Legendary Golems not to be used by a trainer that specialized in its type. Regice was used by Glacia, an Ice-type trainer, and Registeel was used by Steven Stone, a Steel-type trainer, while Regirock was used by Sidney and Drake, a Dark-type trainer and Dragon-type trainer, respectivley.
Origin
This Pokémon is based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened.
Name origin
Regirock's name comes from regius, which is Latin for royal, and the word rock.
