Growl (Japanese: なきごえ Cry) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Growl decreases the opponent's Attack by one stage.

Growl will not affect Pokémon with the Abilities Soundproof, Hyper Cutter, Clear Body, or White Smoke.

In a Double Battle, Growl hits both opponents. In a Triple Battle, Growl will only hit opposing adjacent Pokémon.
