Calem appeared in The Redemption, where he was seen at the parade in Lumiose City after he had become the Champion of Kalos. During the parade, he was challenged by AZ, whom he battled and defeated.
Chesnaught was first seen next to Calem during the parade. It was later used during Calem's battle with AZ, where it was seen defeating his Golurk, winning the battle for Calem.
Calem's counterpart in Pokémon Adventures is X. When he was young, he won a Kalos Junior Tournament. However, the pressure of being a celebrity at a young age had its effect on him and he became a shut-in.
