Trivia

  • All versions of Bede use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Victor, Gloria, Hop, Marnie, Rose, Oleana, and Ortega.
  • In his Champion outfit's sync pair story, Bede reveals he first met Articuno in the Crown Tundra, similar to how it is encountered in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
  • Bede & Hatterene are the only sync pair who can set all three types of field effects: weather, terrain, and zone.
  • Bede (Champion) & Articuno's second Master Fair scout had the shortest duration of any Master Fair scout, only lasting 6 days (August 22 to 28, 2024).
  • In the solo event Three Rivals, Three Ways, Bede is shown to have raised his Inteleon from a Sobble that was hatched by Professor Bellis.
  • Bede is the first character to receive a sygna suit after receiving a Neo Champion outfit rather than before.
  • Bede's ownership of Iron Valiant marks the first time a character introduced before Generation IX is seen owning a Paradox Pokémon in any Pokémon media.

Origin

Bede's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Hatterene is Bede's signature Pokémon in the core series games, where it is also capable of Gigantamaxing. Hatterene's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.

Bede is not seen owning an Inteleon outside this game, though it was introduced in Generation VIII like he was. Inteleon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.

Mawile is Bede's lead Pokémon as a Gym Leader in the core series games. Mawile's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Bede is not seen owning a Galarian Articuno outside of this game. Articuno's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Shield.

Bede is not seen owning an Iron Valiant outside of this game, though he does own a Gardevoir, which Iron Valiant is said to be a future counterpart of. Iron Valiant's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Scarlet.
