About Bulbapedia
Bulbapedia is an online encyclopedia about Pokémon to which anyone can contribute.
Bulbapedia is part of Bulbagarden, the original Pokémon community, and was first opened to the public on February 14, 2005. Since then, thousands of volunteer editors from around the world have contributed their knowledge of Pokémon and have collaboratively written 60,415 articles. Bulbapedia is now the world's largest Pokémon encyclopedia, and continues to grow every day thanks to the efforts of the community.
The encyclopedia's purpose is to be the ultimate English-language Pokémon resource, by providing comprehensive information on all aspects of the franchise. To this end, Bulbapedia is a wiki built using MediaWiki, which means that anyone is able to create an account and make edits and additions. Getting started is incredibly easy.
Documentation efforts also include the Bulbagarden Archives, serving as the site's repository for images and other media that help illustrate the encyclopedia.
