Cut (Japanese: いあいぎり Iai Cut) is a slightly inaccurate Normal-type move introduced in Generation I that deals a small amount of damage. It is HM01 in all generations so far. Its Japanese name refers to Iaidō.

A Pokémon using Cut can remove a certain type of tree, which acts as an obstacle between the player and their destination. In certain games, it can be used to cut tall grass.
