Mega Punch (Japanese: メガトンパンチ Megaton Punch) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. It was TM01 in Generation I and TM00 in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

It can be thought of as a counterpart to Mega Kick, being the same type and having a similar name.

Effect

In battle

Mega Punch deals damage and has no secondary effect.

When used by a Pokémon with Iron Fist, its power is increased by 20%.

In contests

Mega Punch can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 4 bonus appeal points if Focus Energy or Mind Reader was used in the previous turn.
