AZ's Floette (Japanese: AZのフラエッテ AZ's Floette) is an Eternal Flower Floette befriended by AZ. Unlike others of its species, she has a unique color scheme and holds a flower known as the Eternal Flower. She cannot evolve, but can Mega Evolve into Mega Floette using the Floettite. She first appeared in Pokémon X and Y, but played a larger role in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Background
At some point prior to Pokémon X and Y, Floette was gifted to AZ by his mother. 3,000 years ago, Floette was forcefully conscripted into a war in Kalos, where she died after years of fighting. Her body was given to AZ, who, out of unspeakable grief, built a machine that would restore her to life, making her immortal in the process. The machine was powered by the energy of XerneasX/YveltalY/bothZA.
Although successful, he was still consumed by despair and turned the machine into a weapon, destroying both sides and ending the war. Floette learned that AZ had stolen the life forces of other Pokémon in order to revive her and left him in disgust.
After being exposed to the energy of the ultimate weapon, AZ grew much taller and gained an extended lifespan, letting him live for thousands of years. He took to traveling the world in a fruitless search for Floette, witnessing many cataclysmic events and researching Mega Evolution. 2,000 years ago, AZ was approached by a powerful man and asked to help protect Kalos. He decided to build another machine that would share the eternal life he had given to Floette. He planned to use it once they were reunited, but it laid dormant until the present day.
Pokémon X and Y
3,000 years after the Kalos war, the ultimate weapon is reactivated by Lysandre, who has imprisoned AZ and stolen the activation key from him. The player encounters him in his cell and learns about the history of Kalos, then later battles him at a parade celebrating them becoming the Kalos Champion. After the battle, AZ smiles and thanks them for teaching him what it is to be a Trainer and freeing him from his endless torment.
Sensing that his heart is at last liberated from anger and despair, Floette returns to him, gently floating down from the sky into his waiting hands. Disbelieving, he sinks onto his knees, overjoyed to finally see her again.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Five years after the events of Pokémon X and Y, Floette now lives with AZ in Hotel Z. Due to Lysandre's actions, a disturbance in Prism Tower occurs and releases a flood of Mega Power that forces Pokémon to undergo Rogue Mega Evolution, signifying the reawakening of Ange. AZ tasks Vinnie and Jett of Quasartico Inc. to find a Trainer who is strong enough to Mega Evolve his Floette, who is the only one capable of controlling and deactivating the device.
Two years pass as they search for the right Trainer, closing off Prism Tower and establishing the Z-A Royale. Meanwhile, AZ befriends Urbain/Taunie, Lida, and Naveen, who form Team MZ in an attempt to attract more guests to the rarely visited hotel. Upon meeting the player and seeing a Zygarde Cell slip out of their bag, AZ informs them that their arrival is fated and is happy that they've joined the Z-A Royale. As time passes, AZ appears to grow sick, coughing irregularly and reflecting on his past and aging body.
Floette alerts him when the player and Emma are led by Zygarde to a Rogue Mega Absol. AZ gives the player a Mega Ring and loans them his Lucario, urging them to Mega Evolve it. The player then joins Team MZ in their attempts to subdue the Rogue Mega Pokémon appearing throughout Lumiose City.
Later, AZ fills the player and Team MZ in on Ange and his plans to stop it. The player and Urbain/Taunie reach Rank A in the Z-A Royale, but that night, Ange breaks free from Prism Tower. Floette is given to the group and Mega Evolves at Ange's base. She carries Urbain/Taunie in a bubble up to Ange's control room, where she attempts to absorb the Mega Power emanating from the device. Instead of shutting down, Ange goes out of control and fuses with Mega Floette to become Hyperrogue Ange Floette. Its immense power causes enormous roots and giant Eternal Flowers to grow all over the city, forcing even more Pokémon to Mega Evolve.
The player, with the help of the city's citizens, manages to earn Zygarde's trust and works together with it to defeat Hyperrogue Ange Floette. Not yet down, Hyperrogue Ange Floette unleashes a power-boosted Light of Ruin on the city. The player Mega Evolves Zygarde and commands it to use its Nihil Light, releasing Eternal Flower Floette from Ange's control and destroying the machine.
In the aftermath, AZ quietly passes away, leaving Urbain/Taunie to take ownership of Floette and use her against the player in their 15th Infinite Z-A Royale reward. After the match, they give Floette and the Floettite to the player due to becoming the new CEO of Quasartico Inc. in Jett's place.
Mega Dimension
Right before the battle with Darkrai, AZ and Floette appear to the player, Urbain/Taunie, and Korrina in Hyperspace Newmoon Nightmare, taking the form of a dream-like manifestation. After reaffirming his belief in them and waving goodbye, he and Floette fade away.
Personality and characteristics
Floette is a kind and caring Pokémon that is loyal to her partner, AZ. She was willing to leave him for a time because of AZ's all-consuming hatred and the destruction he caused in order to revive her from death. Floette was shown to be patient, waiting 3,000 years for him to return to his original self before reuniting with him. She is brave in protecting those she cares about, as seen when she defended Paxton/Harmony and Urbain/Taunie from Pokémon Trainers and Rogue Mega-Evolved Pokémon.
She is the only known Floette who is capable of Mega Evolving, possibly as a result of being revived by Infinity Energy. This may also be why she is unable to evolve.[5]
Obtainability
Game data exists for Eternal Flower Floette in the Generation VI and VII games, although she cannot be legitimately obtained in those games. Eternal Flower Floette's stats are notably higher than a regular Floette and sit more closely to those of Florges. Her cry is different from a regular Floette's. She has a base experience yield of 243.
She cannot breed, as she is in the No Eggs Discovered Egg Group. She also cannot evolve and is unaffected by the Eviolite. She has her own signature move, Light of Ruin, which she learns at level 50.
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Eternal Flower Floette was finally made obtainable, being obtained after defeating Urbain/Taunie in the 15th Infinite Z-A Royale reward match after the credits.

Pokémon Adventures

X & Y arc
Floette first appears in a flashback in Gyarados Changes. AZ later explained that he created a machine to revive his dead Floette. AZ then wanted the war Floette was killed in to end, so he turned the machine into the ultimate weapon and fired it. The war ended, but Floette realized that AZ sacrificed the lives of many Pokémon to power the machine, so she left him.
in the Epilogue, AZ teaches X, Y, Trevor, Shauna, and Tierno to not be disappointed in the fact that no one is thanking them for defeating Team Flare, as that same feeling was what caused Lysandre to start Team Flare in the first place. After showing that he's truly changed, Floette returns to AZ after 3,000 years apart.

AZ's Tranquility is a Supporter card introduced in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Mega Evolution Series (the Japanese MEGA Series). A special illustration rare version with artwork by OKACHEKE was released including Floette. This card allows the player to switch their Active Pokémon with 1 of their Benched Pokémon — if the Pokémon that was moved to the Bench is a Pokémon ex, the player heals 80 damage from it. This card's illustration features AZ and Floette as they appear in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
