Most of these Pokémon can only be obtained once per game; however, some may also be obtained in other ways as well. Unless stated otherwise, all Pokémon listed here cannot be Shiny, but if the Pokémon can breed, it can produce Shiny offspring.
Galar starter Pokémon
After bringing Leon back to Postwick, the Champion will present the player the three starter Pokémon the player can choose from.
Starting in Patch 1.1.0, after the player visits the Wild Area for the first time, the player has the opportunity to catch this Galarian Slowpoke at Wedgehurst Station during a scene where they meet KlaraSw/AverySh from The Isle of Armor expansion.

After he is dethroned as Champion, Leon will leave this Charmander in a Poké Ball in his room in Postwick. This Charmander has a Gigantamax Factor, and can Gigantamax once it becomes a Charizard.
Gigantamax Factor Pikachu and Eevee
If the player talks to male NPC on the left side of the Wild Area Station in Meetup Spot with a save file from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee!, they can receive one of these special Pokémon with a Gigantamax Factor. Players of Let's Go, Pikachu! can receive a Pikachu, while players of Let's Go, Eevee! can receive an Eevee. Both Pokémon cannot evolve, but do come with a maxed out 31 IVs across all of their stats.
A League Staff member will entrust the player with this Type: Null after they become Champion and visit them at the newly-opened Battle Tower. They will also receive a set of Memories to use for it when it evolves into Silvally.
The player can receive this Toxel from a Pokémon Breeder on Route 5 inside the Pokémon Nursery.
Zacian and Zamazenta
This ZacianSw/ZamazentaSh challenges the player during the post-game story involving Sordward and Shielbert. It is given the Rusted SwordSw/Rusted ShieldSh before it is battled, and will be holding it when it is captured. Because of this, it will have access to its signature move, Behemoth BladeSw/Behemoth BashSh during the battle, replacing Iron Head.
During the climax of the main story, the player will join forces with Hop, Zacian, and Zamazenta in a Max Raid Battle against Eternamax Eternatus on the Energy Plant's Tower Summit. After Eternatus is defeated, the player will be able to capture it with their choice of Poké Ball. Eternatus's capture is guaranteed.
Gigantamax Factor Bulbasaur and Squirtle
After the player has completed Mustard's first trial, Honey will present them with a choice between Bulbasaur or Squirtle. Both have the Gigantamax Factor, allowing them to Gigantamax once they've evolved into Venusaur or Blastoise.
After completing all three trials, the player will receive this Kubfu from Mustard. The player is then tasked with training at either the Tower of Darkness or the Tower of Waters with Kubfu alone. Completing its training will cause it to evolve into Urshifu in either its Fighting/Dark Single Strike Style or Fighting/Water Rapid Strike Style, depending on the place it trained.
After defeating Mustard at the Battle Court, Hyde will have a Porygon the player can take. This Porygon has its Hidden Ability, Analytic.

As a reward for hitting a specific threshold of Diglett, the Diglett Trainer will gift the player Regional form Pokémon not native to Galar and one of the Alolan Starter Pokémon. After obtaining Legendary Clue 2 from Peony, his notes in the clue will inform the player of four temples in the Crown Tundra. Finding one of the temples starts the The Terrible Titans... Lurking Locked Away! adventure. Similar to Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire, entering the temple requires the player to meet a condition to enter, while similar to Pokémon Platinum, to awaken the titans, you must step on the dots on the floor and interact with the statue. All Pokémon listed here can be Shiny.
Regirock can be found in the Rock Peak Ruins, located in the southeastern portion of Giant's Bed, near the river leading to Ballimere Lake. To enter the temple, one of the Pokémon in the player's party must hold an Everstone.
Regice can be found in the Iceberg Ruins, located in Snowslide Slope, embedded into the side of the slope. To enter the temple, the player's walking Pokémon must be a Cryogonal.
Registeel can be found in the Iron Ruins, located in the western portion of Giant's Bed, south of Frostpoint Field. To enter the temple, the player must whistle near the door.
Regieleki and Regidrago
Regieleki and Regidrago can be found in the Split-Decision Ruins, located in Three-Point Pass. To enter the temple, the player must have Regirock, Regice, and Registeel in their party. Only one of the two titans here can be captured, and is done so by matching the dots on the floor to the eye pattern of the titan the player wishes to capture.
After interacting with a tombstone in Ballimere Lake, talking with 32 different players, interacting with the tombstone again, then re-entering the area, a Spiritomb will appear. Due to the requirements for this encounter, a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is required. Spiritomb can be Shiny.
Regigigas can be found in a Max Raid den that is normally unresponsive in Giant's Bed. Bringing all five of the Legendary titans to the den will awaken Regigigas in a Max Raid Battle. Regigigas can be Shiny.

Sonia will then come by informing the player that she is looking for evidence of three Legendary Pokémon located in the Crown Tundra. Collecting 50 footprints will allow Sonia to pinpoint the exact location of the Pokémon. All Pokémon listed here, except for Keldeo, can be Shiny.
Cobalion's footprints, which are dark blue, can be found in Giant's Bed (near the entrance to Giant's Foot), Giant's Foot (between the exit to Giant's Bed and the river to Roaring-Sea Caves), throughout Roaring-Sea Caves, and Frigid Sea (between the entrance of Roaring-Sea Caves and the sea itself). After collecting all 50 footprints, Cobalion can be found on an island in the middle of Frigid Sea.
Terrakion's footprints, which are gray, can be found in Ballimere Lake and Lakeside Cave. After collecting all 50 footprints, Terrakion can be found in Lakeside Cave.

In Freezington an elderly woman in the house across from the peddler finds a Cosmog, calling it Fwoofy, and wants to give it to a trainer she can trust to take care of it. After defeating the rampaging Glastrier or Spectrier (depending on if the player grew the Iceroot Carrot or the Shaderoot Carrot) in Freezington, she will entrust the trainer to take it in their care.
After unlocking the They Came From The Ultra Beyond adventure and obtaining 5 Ultra Beasts via Dynamax Adventures, a Poipole will appear in Max Lair. The Dynamax Adventure attendant will inform you that Poipole was found deep in the den, and brought out so she could study it more. Unable to simultaneously do her research on the Max Lair dens and keep an eye on Poipole, she asks the player to take care of it for her.
Glastrier, Spectrier, and Calyrex
At the end of the storyline involving Calyrex, it will challenge the player while riding its steed. The steed it is riding is dependent on which carrot the player grew with their Carrot Seeds. If the player grows an Iceroot Carrot, the carrot will attract Glastrier, and the player will battle Calyrex in its Ice Rider form. If the player grows a Shaderoot Carrot, it will call forth Spectrier, and the player will battle Calyrex in its Shadow Rider form. The other Legendary Pokémon becomes unobtainable as a result of not being chosen.
Regardless of the choice, when the player catches Calyrex, both Pokémon will effectively be caught in the same ball, and the steed of their choice will be added to their Pokédex at the same time as Calyrex. It will share the same Poké Ball used to catch it, but all of its other stats, including IVs and Nature, will differ once split using the Reins of Unity.
