Flavor text Generation VIII When the Pokémon knocks out a target, it utters a terrifying neigh, which boosts its Sp. Atk stat. Generation IX When the Pokémon knocks out a target, it utters a terrifying neigh, which boosts its Sp. Atk stat.

Grim Neigh (Japanese: くろのいななき Black Neigh) is an Ability introduced during Generation VIII, in The Crown Tundra. It is the signature Ability of Spectrier.

Effect

In battle

When a Pokémon with Grim Neigh directly causes another Pokémon (including allies) to faint by using a damaging move, its Special Attack is increased by one stage. If its Special Attack is already at +6 stages, Grim Neigh will not activate.

Outside of battle

Grim Neigh has no effect outside of battle.
