Brutal Swing (Japanese: ぶんまわす Brutal Swing) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move introduced in Generation VII. It was TM59 in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, and was TM97 in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Effect

Brutal Swing does damage to all adjacent Pokémon, including allies.

However, if this move is used again, the user instead springs to retrieve its shield. After retrieving its shield, the user then slams it into the ground, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to nearby opposing Pokémon. The user also gains a shield effect.
