A form of Tinkaton called Supervisor appears exclusively in Pokémon Pokopia (as a character named Tinkmaster).
Biology
Tinkaton sleeping on its hammer
Tinkaton is a pink humanoid Pokémon, with large, white arms and short, stumpy toeless feet with light pink circles underneath. Its arms have five fingers each, with the thumbs having the same color of pink as the body. It has steel plates on its hips that resemble outturned pockets. Its face has silver eyes with thin eyelashes, and a large mouth with two square teeth-like growths on the upper lips. On top of its head is a large, pinkish-white growth resembling a twin-tail hairstyle, which droops over Tinkaton's back and has darker pink zigzag patterns accenting it.
Tinkaton wields a crude, gigantic metal hammer that weighs over 220 pounds (100 kg) and is larger than its own body. The hammer appears to have been made using the old hammer Tinkaton had as a Tinkatuff for the base, with several scraps of metal colored in varying shades of gray and purple welded onto it. The hammer also has a spiked beige axe-like structure on top. Although the hammer is heavy, Tinkaton can swing it with ease by using its whole body. As depicted in Tinkatuff's Hammer Wasn't Made in a Year!, Tinkaton's Evolution occurs once Tinkatuff successfully forges the gigantic hammer.
Tinkaton is intelligent and has a reckless personality. It swings its hammer at rocks to send them into the sky, aiming to hit flying Corviknight. Because of this, Flying Taxis in Paldea use Squawkabilly rather than Corviknight. This Pokémon will also steal anything that it wants and take it back to its dwelling. It has been observed using its hammer like a bed to sleep on. A Tinkaton is known to be the leader of a Tinkatink group. It teaches its group the necessary skills needed for pounding and shaping metal, which in turn helps their future evolutions into Tinkatuff and eventually Tinkaton.
A particular Tinkaton, named Tinkmaster, has a unique spin-off form called Supervisor.
Supervisor Tinkaton has a similar appearance to a regular Tinkaton. Its most distinct appearance is the crude, gigantic metal hammer now resembling a Swiss weapon-style tool kit. It consists of the signature hammer, a light purple wrench with a spiky tip, and a light purple-grey saw attachment. Notably, it has only one right-sided growth resembling a ponytail attached to a Hachimaki-style hair.
Supervisor Tinkaton is notably very skilled in handcrafting, allowing it to use other tools outside of its giant hammer, and is capable of leading others in creating large buildings or other rebuilding projects, and has skills comparable to an engineer as a result. It is also noted to be very curious about buildings and machines created by humans and has shown the ability to both design and assemble functional buildings from scrap metal and debis.
Pokémon UNITE: Tinkaton appears as the allied Pokémon in Panic Parade. It provoked Aeos-energized Pokémon (in some vague, undefined manner) and in the mode the Pokémon attack Tinkaton. The mode's objective is to protect Tinkaton. Tinkaton starts the battle off as a Tinkatink, and evolves into Tinkatuff and Tinkaton during as it progresses. A Panic Parade immediately ends should Tinkaton faint. Along with attacking wild Pokémon that get close enough to it, Tinkaton uses Follow Me at the start of each wave with a boss. This seemingly is what calls the boss into the battle.
A Tinkaton that is particularly skilled with its hands, allowing it to make good use of other tools in addition to its hammer. It is very curious about buildings and machines made by humans.
Tinkaton is playable through obtaining a Unite License. It is a melee All-Rounder that starts as Tinkatink and evolves into Tinkatuff at level 5, which evolves into Tinkaton at level 7.
Trivia
Tinkaton and its evolutionary relatives were designed by Megumi Mizutani.[1]
Tinkaton is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 506.
Origin
Given its type combination and its size, Tinkaton may be inspired by duendes, gnomes, or dwarfs, the latter of which are commonly depicted smithing and using iron tools and weapons. Its habit of attacking Corviknight, a Steel-type bird Pokémon used for taxi services, also recalls gremlins, mischievous creatures once blamed for causing malfunctions in aircraft during World War II.
Tinkaton's petite stature and female-only gender ratio in contrast with its massive hammer may reference common media depictions of small and seemingly innocent looking girls with gigantic weapons.
Name origin
Tinkaton may be a combination of tinker (itinerant tinsmith) and ton or gigaton.
Dekanuchan may be a combination of でかい dekai (huge), 鍛冶 kanuchi (blacksmith), and the Japanese diminutive suffix ~ちゃん -chan.
