In Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, Ash Ketchum travels to the tropical Alola region with his mother Delia and his buddy Pikachu. Enrolling in the Pokémon School, he befriends his new classmates Lana, Lillie, Mallow, Sophocles, and Kiawe. Gifted a Z-Ring by the guardian deity Tapu Koko, Ash undertakes the island challenge to master Alola's powerful Z-Moves. The Alola region ends up becoming a second home for Ash as he and his classmates face challenges and threats together, such as the mysterious interdimensional Ultra Beasts, the troublesome thugs of Team Skull, and the newly established Alola Pokémon League, where the title of Alola's first Champion is up for grabs.

Professor Oak is revealed to have tasked Ash with delivering an Egg to his Alolan cousin, Samson Oak. Ash learns about Ride Pokémon, Z-Moves, and the island challenge. Ash meets Lana, Lillie, Mallow, Sophocles, Kiawe, Samson Oak, and Professor Kukui for the first time. Mallow meets Delia for the first time Ash delivers the Egg to Samson Oak. Ash encounters Team Skull for the first time. Ash witnesses a Z-Move for the first time. Ash encounters the guardian deity of Melemele Island, Tapu Koko, for the first time. Ash receives a Z-Ring equipped with an Electrium Z from Tapu Koko. Delia and Mimey both return to Pallet Town, while Ash stays in Alola to study at the Pokémon School.
The Guardian's Challenge!	Ash learns about regional variants. Sophocles's Togedemaru is revealed to know Zing Zap and have Lightning Rod as her Ability. Ash encounters Tapu Koko again, with his classmates encountering it for the first time. Ash and Pikachu have a battle against Tapu Koko, which gets called off when Tapu Koko flees. Ash and Pikachu perform Gigavolt Havoc for the first time. In the process, Ash also performs a Z-Move for the first time. Ash's Electrium Z shatters right after being used. Ash decides to take on the island challenge in order to get new Z-Crystals and qualify as a Z-Move user. Ash receives a new Pokédex from Professor Kukui.
Loading the Dex!	Team Rocket arrives in the Alola region, having been assigned by Giovanni to capture the region's unique Pokémon. A Rotom inhabits Ash's new Pokédex, turning it into a Rotom Pokédex. Jessie and James are revealed to have deposited Gourgeist and Inkay at Team Rocket HQ. Ash tries to catch a Mimikyu, but it decides to side with Team Rocket instead. Ash's classmates encounter Team Rocket for the first time. A Bewear starts following and caring for Team Rocket.
First Catch in Alola, Ketchum-Style!	Ash tries and fails to catch a Grubbin. James is revealed to own a Luxury Ball. Jessie uses James's Luxury Ball to catch the Mimikyu that Team Rocket had encountered earlier. Ash catches a Rowlet.
Yo, Ho, Ho! Go, Popplio!	Lana reveals how she first met Popplio. Ash meets Harper and Sarah, Lana's younger sisters, for the first time.
That's Why the Litten is a Scamp!‬	Litten is revealed to know Fury Swipes. Ash tries to catch Litten, but eventually decides to let it go.
Lillie's Egg-xhilarating Challenge!	Samson Oak gives Ash and his classmates an Egg, which Lillie agrees to take care of. Ash and Mallow meet Hobbes, the butler for Lillie and her family, for the first time. Ash's Rowlet is revealed to know Tackle and Peck. Lillie's phobia of Pokémon is revealed to be the result of a traumatic experience involving her mother that she doesn't remember. Lillie overcomes her phobia of Pokémon a little bit, being able to touch the Egg entrusted to her.
To Top a Totem!	Ash meets the kahuna of Melemele Island, Hala, for the first time. Hala reveals that the Z-Ring equipped with an Electrium Z that Tapu Koko gave to Ash earlier was taken from him. Ash clears his first trial in the Verdant Cavern, earning a Normalium Z from the Totem Gumshoos as a reward. Ash becomes qualified to challenge Hala's grand trial. Officer Jenny convinces a Gumshoos to join her team.
Trial and Tribulation!	Ash and Pikachu perform Breakneck Blitz for the first time. Ash battles Hala in the Melemele Island grand trial and wins. Hala goes to reward Ash with a Fightinium Z, but Tapu Koko switches it with an Electrium Z, which Ash receives instead.
Young Kiawe Had a Farm!	Ash's Rowlet performs Breakneck Blitz for the first time. Ash visits Akala Island for the first time. Ash meets Kiawe's family for the first time. Kiawe's Turtonator is revealed to know Flamethrower. Kiawe reveals that he received his Charizard from his grandfather.
The Sun, the Scare, the Secret Lair!	Jessie and James try and fail to catch a Cloyster and Carvanha, respectively. Team Rocket decides to make Bewear's den their base of operations in Alola. James catches a Mareanie.
Racing to a Big Event!	Lillie is revealed to have nicknamed the Egg she had been raising Snowy. The Egg that Lillie and her classmates have been taking care of hatches into an Alolan Vulpix.
Getting to Know You!	The Egg that Ash delivered to Samson Oak hatches into a Vulpix. Snowy, the Alolan Vulpix that hatched in the previous episode, is revealed to know Powder Snow. Lillie catches Snowy, making it her first Pokémon. Lillie becomes able to touch her own Pokémon, but not others.
Rocking Clawmark Hill!	Rockruff is revealed to not be Professor Kukui's Pokémon, but a wild Pokémon that he takes care of. Rockruff is revealed to know Tackle and Bite and learns Rock Throw. Ash catches Rockruff.
They Might Not Be Giants!	Lana's Popplio is revealed to know Bubble Beam. Litten is revealed to know Slash.
Crystal-Clear Sleuthing!	Rotom updates itself with a video camera function.
A Seasoned Search!	Ash meets Abe, Mallow's father, for the first time. Team Rocket completes the construction of their base in Bewear's den. Mallow's Bounsweet evolves into Steenee and learns Double Slap and Magical Leaf.
A Guardian Rematch!	Ash's Rockruff performs Breakneck Blitz for the first time. Ash meets Sophocles's family for the first time. Ash and Pikachu have a rematch with Tapu Koko, with no clear winner.
Partner Promises!	Ash encounters the guardian deity of Akala Island, Tapu Lele, for the first time.
One Journey Ends, Another Begins...	Litten is revealed to have learned Fire Fang, although it hasn't mastered it yet. The elderly Stoutland that Litten was living with vanishes. Ash catches Litten.
A Shivering Shovel Search!	Kiawe's Charizard is revealed to know Flamethrower. Ash's Litten masters Fire Fang.
Getting the Band Back Together!	Rotom updates itself with a voice sampling function.
Alolan Open House!	Ash's Litten is revealed to know Scratch. Lillie meets Delia for the first time.
A Team-on-Team Tussle!	Team Rocket witnesses a Z-Move for the first time and learns about Z-Crystals. Team Rocket encounters Team Skull for the first time. Team Rocket and Team Skull fight for a Darkinium Z, which Team Rocket takes for themselves.
So Long, Sophocles!	Ash brings Sophocles a wild Charjabug as a present. Sophocles catches the Charjabug.
A Glaring Rivalry!	Ash meets Gladion, Lillie's older brother, for the first time. Ash has a battle with Gladion, but it is interrupted by Team Rocket. Team Rocket meets Gladion for the first time. Ash learns that he can get a Rockium Z from the island kahuna of Akala Island.
The Ol' Raise and Switch!	Lillie has her first Trainer battle and wins. Lillie becomes able to touch Ash's Pikachu. Ash battles Lillie, although the end result is left unknown.
The Island Whisperer!	Ash, Lana, Lillie, Mallow, and Sophocles meet Olivia, the Akala Island kahuna, for the first time. Ash and his classmates travel to Akala Island along with Olivia and Professor Kukui.
Treasure Hunt, Akala Style!	Ash tries and fails to catch an Alolan Geodude. Lana finds a Sparkling Stone, which Olivia takes to be modified into a Z-Ring for her.
Big Sky, Small Fry!	Lana's Popplio learns Aqua Jet. Lana clears the trial at Brooklet Hill with Ash's help, earning a Waterium Z from a Totem Solo Form Wishiwashi as a reward. Olivia converts Lana's Sparkling Stone into a Z-Ring and gives it back to her.
A Crowning Moment of Truth!	Kiawe's Turtonator is revealed to know Dragon Tail, and also learns Shell Smash. Kiawe catches an Alolan Marowak.
Currying Favor and Flavor!	Ash's Litten performs Breakneck Blitz for the first time. Ash clears the trial in Lush Jungle, earning a Grassium Z from the Totem Lurantis as a reward. Ash becomes qualified to challenge Olivia's grand trial.
Trials and Determinations!	Ash and Rowlet perform Bloom Doom for the first time. Ash battles Olivia in the Akala Island grand trial and wins, earning a Rockium Z as a reward. Olivia informs Ash that his Rockruff will evolve soon.
Rising from the Ruins!	Gladion is revealed to own a Type: Null nicknamed "Silvally". Ash's Rockruff evolves into a Dusk Form Lycanroc. Ash, his classmates, and Professor Kukui leave Akala Island and return to Melemele Island.
Mimikyu Unmasked!	Ash and Lycanroc perform Continental Crush for the first time.
Balloons, Brionne, and Belligerence!	Lana, Ash, and Mallow meet Ida for the first time. Lana and Popplio perform Hydro Vortex for the first time.
Mounting an Electrifying Charge!	Sophocles's Charjabug is revealed to know String Shot. Sophocles, Ash, and Kiawe meet Horacio, Sophocles's rival. Sophocles participates in a Charjabug race with Ash and Kiawe and wins.
Alola, Kanto!	Ash and his classmates travel to Kanto for an extracurricular activity and arrive in Pallet Town. In the process, Ash's classmates visit Kanto for the first time. Team Rocket also travels to Kanto, but are later taken back to Alola by Bewear. Ash reunites with Misty and Brock, while Ash's classmates meet them for the first time. Lana, Kiawe, Lillie, Mallow, and Sophocles meet Professor Oak and Jigglypuff for the first time. Lana, Kiawe, and Sophocles meet Delia for the first time. Misty and Brock meet Professor Kukui, Samson Oak, and Bewear for the first time. Ash's Lycanroc is revealed to have learned Accelerock. Ash and his classmates travel to Cerulean City to visit the Cerulean Gym.
When Regions Collide!	Ash's classmates learn about Pokémon Leagues. Lana and Mallow have a Multi Battle against Misty, but the battle is called off. Misty's Psyduck is revealed to have mastered Water Gun. Sophocles and Lillie have a Multi Battle against Brock, but the battle is called off. Brock's Geodude is revealed to have learned Gyro Ball and his Steelix is revealed to have learned Gyro Ball and Stone Edge. Brock and Misty are revealed to each have obtained a Key Stone, while Brock is revealed to have obtained a Steelixite and Misty is revealed to have obtained a Gyaradosite. Ash's classmates learn about Mega Evolution and witness one for the first time. Brock and Misty witness a Z-Move for the first time. Kiawe has a battle against Brock and loses. Misty's Gyarados is revealed to have learned Rain Dance, Hurricane, and Crunch. Ash has a battle against Misty and wins. Professor Kukui reveals that he intends to establish a Pokémon League in Alola. Ash, his classmates, Professor Kukui, Samson Oak, and Team Rocket return to Alola. Jigglypuff follows Ash and his classmates to Alola on top of their plane.
A Dream Encounter!	Ash finds and befriends a Cosmog, which Lillie nicknames Nebby. Lillie reunites with her mother, Lusamine. Ash meets Lusamine, Professor Burnet, Faba, and Wicke for the first time. Ash learns about the Aether Foundation and Ultra Beasts.
Now You See Them, Now You Don't!	Nebby is revealed to know Teleport.
Deceiving Appearances!	Ash and his classmates visit Aether Paradise, with Ash, Kiawe, Sophocles, Mallow, and Lana visiting it for the first time. Kiawe, Sophocles, Mallow, and Lana meet Lusamine, Faba, Wicke, and Professor Burnet for the first time. Faba is revealed to have hired Team Rocket to work for him as Aether Foundation Employees. Team Rocket learns about Type: Null and the Ultra Beasts.
A Masked Warning!	Ash's Lycanroc is revealed to go berserk when its fur gets dirty. Ash meets Gladion again. Ash learns that Lillie's fear of touching Pokémon is related to an Ultra Beast. Ash has another battle with Gladion and loses. Nebby is revealed to know Supersonic.
Night of a Thousand Poses!	Lillie becomes unable to touch any Pokémon again after encountering Gladion's Silvally.
Mission: Total Recall!	Team Rocket resigns as Aether Foundation Employees and leaves Faba. Gladion's Silvally breaks free of its mask, revealing its true form. Lillie remembers the incident that made her afraid of touching Pokémon. Lillie overcomes her fear, becoming able to touch all Pokémon once again.
Faba's Revenge!	Faba manages to kidnap Nebby. Lana, Kiawe, Sophocles, and Mallow meet Gladion for the first time. Nebby evolves into Cosmoem. Faba summons a Nihilego through an Ultra Wormhole. Lusamine protects her children from Nihilego, causing it to take her into the Ultra Wormhole.
Family Determination!	Lillie changes her outfit. Lillie and Gladion leave for Poni Island together to look for a way to save Lusamine. Ash, his classmates, and Professor Kukui decide to follow Lillie and Gladion to Poni Island. Ash visits Poni Island for the first time. Ash encounters the guardian deities of Ula'ula Island and Poni Island, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini, for the first time.
Revealing the Stuff of Legend!	Professor Kukui is revealed to own a Braviary. Nebby evolves into Solgaleo and learns Sunsteel Strike. Ash obtains a Solganium Z from Nebby. The guardian deities upgrade Ash's Z-Ring into a Z-Power Ring. Ash and Nebby perform Searing Sunraze Smash for the first time. Ash, his classmates, and Gladion enter an Ultra Wormhole with Solgaleo in search of Lusamine.
Rescuing the Unwilling!	Ash, his classmates, and Gladion arrive in Ultra Deep Sea and find Lusamine there, only to discover she has fused with Nihilego. Kiawe's Marowak is revealed to know Bonemerang. Ash and his friends battle Lusamine. Lusamine is revealed to own a Salazzle, a Milotic, a Lilligant, a Mismagius, and an Absol. Kiawe splits from the group to battle Lusamine's Salazzle and wins. Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles, along with Rowlet and Litten, split from the group to battle Lusamine's Milotic, Lilligant, and Mismagius. Gladion splits from the group to battle Lusamine's Absol. Lillie, along with Lycanroc, split from the group to battle Lusamine's Clefable and free her from Nihilego's control.
10,000,000 Reasons to Fight!	Ash's Electrium Z temporarily changes into a Pikashunium Z. Ash and Pikachu perform 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt for the first time. Ash and Pikachu defeat Lusamine, freeing her and her Pokémon from Nihilego's control. Ash, his classmates, Gladion, Lusamine, and Nebby return to their own world.
The Professors' New Adventure!	Nebby is revealed to have returned to the wild. Lillie switches back to her original clothing. Professor Kukui proposes to Professor Burnet, and she accepts. Ash and his classmates learn that Professor Kukui owns a Braviary. Professors Kukui and Burnet get married. Lusamine, Wicke, and Faba invite Ash and his classmates to join the "Ultra Guardians" task force to deal with any future Ultra Beast incidents, which they accept.
The Dex Can't Help It!	Rotom uses Blizzard and Hydro Pump for the first time.
Fighting Back the Tears!	James tries and fails to catch a Frillish. James tries to release Mareanie, but Mareanie chooses to stay with him.
Tasting the Bitter with the Sweet!	Lana and Mallow recall how they first met each other.
Getting a Jump on the Competition!	Ash visits Ula'ula Island for the first time. Hala's Crabrawler evolves into Crabominable. Snowy is revealed to know Hail and learns Aurora Veil.
A Mission of Ultra Urgency!	A Poipole emerges from an Ultra Wormhole and starts following Ash's Pikachu. Ash and his classmates go on their first Ultra Guardians mission. Rotom is updated with data about the known Ultra Beasts. The Ultra Guardians catch a Buzzwole and release it back into Ultra Space.
Acting True to Form!	James is revealed to own a Great, Ultra, Premier, Dusk, Heal, and Quick Ball. Team Rocket learns that they need a Z-Ring in order to use their Darkinium Z. An Alolan Meowth joins Team Rocket and travels to the Team Rocket HQ in Kanto, where it is appointed as Matori's assistant.
Pushing the Fiery Envelope!	Ash learns about Battle Royals and the Masked Royal. Professor Kukui is revealed to own an Incineroar, a Z-Ring, and an Incinium Z. Ash participates in his first-ever Battle Royal with the Masked Royal, Sophocles, and Kiawe, with the Masked Royal winning. Ash's Litten starts to learn Flame Charge. Ash's Litten evolves into Torracat and masters Flame Charge. Ash has a Single Battle with the Masked Royal and loses.
Turning Heads and Training Hard!	Ash and Lillie meet Ilima, a Pokémon School graduate, for the first time. Professor Kukui invites Ilima to attend the Alola League after it is completed, and Ilima accepts. Ash challenges Ilima to a battle, but they are interrupted by the arrival of Team Skull before the battle can properly begin.
Smashing with Sketch!	Ilima heads back to Kalos.
Love at First Twirl!	The recurring Poipole is revealed to know Toxic. Ash and his classmates meet the recurring Poipole for the first time. Ash catches Poipole to take care of it until the location of its Ultra Wormhole is discovered.
Rise and Shine, Starship!	Ash and his classmates go on their second Ultra Guardians mission. The Ultra Guardians try and fail to capture a Celesteela, due to it being rooted down at the time. The Ultra Guardians help free the Celesteela from being trapped underground, allowing it to fly back to space.
The Young Flame Strikes Back!	Kiawe's Marowak performs Inferno Overdrive for the first time.
Sours for the Sweet!	Ash and Lillie meet Ulu, Mallow's older brother, for the first time.
Why Not Give Me a Z-Ring Sometime?	James's Mareanie learns Knock Off. Team Rocket receives a Z-Power Ring from Nanu. James and Mareanie perform Black Hole Eclipse for the first time. Jessie receives a Mimikium Z from Acerola's Mimikins. Ash heads to Ula'ula Island to participate in his third grand trial.
Tough Guy Trials!	Professor Kukui is revealed to have told Ash and his classmates about the Pokémon League he's establishing in Alola. Ash arrives at Ula'ula Island and meets island kahuna Nanu and Acerola for the first time. Ash and Team Rocket learn about the legend of the "Blinding One". Ash's Lycanroc goes berserk again. Ash battles Nanu and loses. Acerola agrees to help Ash train for a rematch with Nanu.
Some Kind of Laziness!	Ash's Rowlet learns Razor Leaf. Team Rocket learns the pose for Mimikyu's Z-Move. Ash's Lycanroc overcomes its habit of going berserk whenever its fur gets wet or dirty. Ash's Lycanroc learns Stone Edge.
A Battle Hand-Off!	Jessie's Mimikyu is revealed to have Disguise as its Ability. Jessie and Mimikyu perform Let's Snuggle Forever for the first time. Ash's Pikachu learns Electroweb. Ash's Electrium Z temporarily changes into a Pikashunium Z again. Ash clears the Thrifty Megamart trial, becoming qualified to challenge Nanu's grand trial.
Guiding an Awakening!	Ash's Lycanroc is revealed to have gained control of its red-eyed state, allowing it to be used as a temporary power boost. Ash's Lycanroc learns Counter. Ash battles Nanu in the Ula'ula Island grand trial and wins, earning a Lycanium Z as a reward. Ash leaves Ula'ula Island and returns to Melemele Island to rejoin his classmates.
Twirling with a Bang!	Ash and his classmates go on their third Ultra Guardians mission. Ash and Lycanroc perform Splintered Stormshards for the first time. The Ultra Guardians catch a Blacephalon and a Xurkitree and release them back into Ultra Space.
Showering the World with Love!	Ash and his classmates travel to Ula'ula Island to visit Hokulani Observatory. Ash, Kiawe, Mallow, Lana, and Lillie meet Sophocles's cousin, Molayne, for the first time.
Not Caving Under Pressure!	Lillie receives an Icium Z from a wild Alolan Sandslash. Sophocles gives Lillie an Ice Stone found by his Charjabug. Lillie offers the Ice Stone to Snowy, but it refuses to evolve for the time being. Lillie decides to keep the Ice Stone in case Snowy changes its mind. Ash and his classmates travel back to Melemele Island.
A Young Royal Flame Ignites!	Ash's Torracat learns Revenge.
All They Want to Do is Dance Dance!	Mallow's Steenee learns Stomp, evolves into Tsareena, and learns Trop Kick.
The Shape of Love to Come!	Ash's Poipole is revealed to know Fury Attack. Ash and his classmates meet Mina for the first time. Ash uses Poipole in an unofficial battle for the first time.
The Long Vault Home!	Ash and his classmates go on their fourth Ultra Guardians mission. The Ultra Guardians catch a Stakataka and release it back into Ultra Space.
Filling the Light with Darkness!	A small Ultra Wormhole opens above the Altar of the Sunne, covering Alola with dark clouds and draining the region of its Ultra Aura, causing all adults to lose their energy and motivation, and draining Z-Moves of their power. Ash learns about the Manalo Festival. A special Team Rocket unit led by Matori, called the "Matori Matrix", heads to Alola on Giovanni's orders. Ash and his classmates go on their fifth Ultra Guardians mission. The Ultra Guardians travel to the Altar of the Sunne. Gladion is revealed to have joined the Ultra Guardians and acquired a Z-Power Ring. A Lunala appears from the Ultra Wormhole above the Altar of the Sunne, followed by Necrozma.
Full Moon and Many Arms!	The Ultra Guardians follow Lunala and Necrozma to Melemele Island to protect the former from the latter. Necrozma fuses with Lunala. Team Rocket's Matori Matrix attempts to capture Necrozma, but fails. Nebby appears through an Ultra Wormhole and helps Lunala separate from Necrozma. Nebby uses Sunsteel Strike for the first time and is revealed to have learned Flash Cannon. The Matori Matrix attempts to capture Nebby and Lunala, but are stopped by Ash and Gladion. Necrozma fuses with Nebby and escapes through an Ultra Wormhole, stopping its absorption of Alola's Ultra Aura, resulting in the recovery of the energy and motivation of the region's adults. Lunala is brought to the Ultra Guardians base to recover. The Aether Foundation, considering Necrozma an Ultra Beast, gives it the codename "UB Black". Faba informs the Aether Foundation and the Ultra Guardians about the Team Rocket group that is trying to capture Nebby and Lunala. Using the Z-Power of Ash, Kiawe, Lana, and Gladion's Z-Rings, Lunala is able to restore itself.
The Prism Between Light and Darkness!	The Ultra Guardians travel to Poipole's home world through an Ultra Wormhole created by Lunala. The Ultra Guardians learn UB Black's real name and its connection to Poipole's home world. Naganadel reveals that Ash's Poipole came to Alola to find a better place for it and its hive to live. Professor Kukui and Faba confront the Matori Matrix and start battling against Gozu at Ten Carat Hill. Gladion is revealed to have obtained a Normalium Z. Ash, Lana, Kiawe, and Gladion each use a Z-Move in a combined attack to release Nebby from Necrozma's absorption and to give Necrozma enough Ultra Aura to turn it back into The Blinding One.
Securing the Future!	The Ultra Guardians' attempt to make Necrozma separate from Nebby by using their Z-Moves fails, as it instead absorbs the Z-Power to power itself up. Professor Kukui defeats Gozu, but at the cost of revealing to Faba that he is the Masked Royal. Professor Kukui asks Faba to keep his identity a secret from his students. The Matori Matrix attempts to travel to Ultra Space through an Ultra Wormhole, but are stopped by Tapu Koko, forcing them to retreat. Necrozma reverts to its normal form, thus separating from Nebby, after it gathers the light sent to it by the Ultra Guardians, their Pokémon, and all of the people and Pokémon of Alola. Gladion receives a Lunalium Z from Lunala. Ash and Gladion perform Nebby and Lunala's Z-Moves, respectively, to give Necrozma enough Ultra Aura and revert it to its original Ultra form. Necrozma brings the light back to Poipole's home world, restoring it to its former state. Poipole chooses to stay in its home world, so Ash leaves it behind. The Ultra Guardians, Nebby, and Lunala return to Alola.

No Stone Unturned!	Ash meets Hau for the first time. Ash has a battle against Hau and loses. Ash tries to teach Rowlet Bullet Seed, despite it being unable to learn the move. Rowlet finds an Everstone, which it learns to use Seed Bomb with instead. Ash has a rematch against Hau and wins.
Bright Lights, Big Changes!	Ash tries and fails to catch Rotom.
We Know Where You're Going, Eevee!	Ash and his classmates meet the recurring Eevee for the first time. Lana's Popplio learns Surf. Eevee is revealed to know Double-Edge. Lana nicknames the Eevee "Sandy" and catches it with a Dive Ball.
Battling the Beast Within!	Ash and Pikachu have another rematch with Tapu Koko, but the battle is interrupted when Ash and Pikachu are transported to the Ultra Ruin. Ash encounters a wild Guzzlord. Ash meets a Trainer named Dia and his partner, Zeraora.
Parallel Friendships!	Ash and Dia stop the Guzzlord by sending it through an Ultra Wormhole. Ash and Pikachu return to Alola by battling Dia and Zeraora.
Alola, Alola!	Misty and Brock visit the Alola region for the first time. Ash and his classmates reunite with Misty and Brock, as a surprise organized by Lana. Snowy is revealed to know Tackle.
Heart of Fire! Heart of Stone!	Brock is revealed to have received a Comfey from the Melemele Island Nurse Joy in the previous episode. Brock and Misty meet Olivia for the first time. Brock's Sudowoodo is revealed to have learned Feint Attack and Low Kick. Brock and Olivia have a battle, which is interrupted by Team Rocket. Brock and Misty head back to Kanto.
That's Some Spicy Island Research!	Ash and his classmates travel to Poni Island. Professor Kukui leaves his students in the hands of Poni Island's Nurse Joy before heading back to Melemele Island. Sophocles reveals that he is planning to evolve his Charjabug and learns that he can do so in Vast Poni Canyon. Ash learns that Poni Island doesn't currently have an island kahuna, as the previous one retired due to ill health, so he decides to find and battle Tapu Fini for his grand trial instead. Ash and his classmates meet Hapu for the first time. Ash has a battle with Hapu and loses. Ash and his classmates learn that Hapu is the granddaughter of the Island's second-most recent kahuna, Sofu. Ash meets Plumeria, the Admin of Team Skull, for the first time.
Showdown on Poni Island!	Hapu is revealed to be planning on becoming Poni Island's next island kahuna. Lillie and Ash meet Gladion again. Gladion reveals that he is planning to take on the Poni Island grand trial by battling Tapu Fini. Gladion also reveals that he wishes for Tapu Fini to let him meet his and Lillie's father, who is believed to be dead. Lillie challenges Gladion to a battle, which he accepts, but Ash accidentally interrupts it before it can begin. Gladion is revealed to have obtained a Dragonium Z. Ash battles Gladion and loses.
Evolving Research!	Lana, Ash, and Mallow meet Ida again, while Kiawe, Lillie, and Sophocles meet her for the first time. Ida's Brionne is revealed to have evolved into Primarina. Sophocles, Ash, and Kiawe meet Horacio again. Sophocles's Charjabug evolves into Vikavolt. Lana's Popplio evolves into Brionne. Lana receives a Primarium Z from Ida.
Run, Heroes, Run!	Kiawe's Charizard is revealed to know Slash, Fire Punch, and Aerial Ace. Kiawe clears a trial set up for him by Tapu Fini, receiving a Flyinium Z from it as a reward. Kiawe and Charizard perform Supersonic Skystrike for the first time.
Memories in the Mist!	Ash and Kiawe find out that the old man they met in the previous episode was Hapu's dead grandfather, Sofu. Mallow's Bounsweet is revealed to have been a gift to her from her mother. Ash's Torracat briefly reunites with its mentor Stoutland, who is confirmed to have passed away. Ash's Torracat learns Fire Blast. Tapu Fini accepts Hapu as the new kahuna of Poni Island. Mallow befriends a wild Shaymin, who agrees to stay with her until it has to fly away. Lillie and Gladion learn that their father is still alive somewhere, and Gladion leaves to inform Lusamine.
A Grand Debut!	Hapu officially becomes the new island kahuna of Poni Island. Ash battles Hapu in the Poni Island grand trial and wins, clearing his final grand trial in Alola. Hapu offers Ash a type-specific Z-Crystal of his choice as his prize. Pikachu picks the Steelium Z. Ash and his classmates reunite with Professor Kukui and return to Melemele Island.
Keeping Your Eyes on the Ball!	Ash and his classmates meet Kahili for the first time.
Show Me the Metal!	Ash, his classmates, and Team Rocket encounter a group of wild Meltan.
Got Meltan?	Ash catches a Meltan.
Beauty is Only Crystal Deep!	Ash and his classmates go on their seventh Ultra Guardians mission. The Ultra Guardians catch a Pheromosa and release it back into Ultra Space.
The Dealer of Destruction!	Ash and Pikachu perform Corkscrew Crash for the first time. Professor Kukui officially announces the first-ever Alola League, whose winner will become Alola's first-ever Champion. The League Conference is revealed to be held at a yet-to-be-completed stadium near Aether Paradise. Ash, Lana, Kiawe, Sophocles, and Team Rocket decide to participate in the Alola League, while Mallow and Lillie consider doing so too. Ash, his classmates, and Team Rocket meet the Team Skull Boss Guzma for the first time. Ash's classmates and Team Rocket meet Plumeria for the first time. Team Rocket has a battle with Guzma and is defeated. Ash has a battle with Guzma, but the battle ends when Guzma's Golisopod activates its Emergency Exit Ability.
The Secret Princess!	The Aether Foundation begins to search for Mohn. Lillie finds a Z-Ring that used to belong to her father and decides to use it until he's found. Lillie discovers an inactive Magearna at her house, bought for her by her father, and sets out to restore it. Lillie and Snowy try to perform Subzero Slammer for the first time, but fail.
Drawn with the Wind!	Ash and his classmates travel to Malie City. Mallow is revealed to have left Tsareena with her father for the duration of the Malie City trip. Ash's Meltan is revealed to know Headbutt. Shaymin is revealed to know Aromatherapy. Ash and his classmates learn about the Kantonian Gym and decide to visit it.
Aiming for the Top Floor!	Ash and his classmates visit the Kantonian Gym and meet Ryuki for the first time. Kiawe battles Ryuki and loses. Ash's Meltan is revealed to know Harden. Ash's Rowlet learns Brave Bird. Ash battles Ryuki and wins. Ash and his classmates return to Melemele Island.
A High-Speed Awakening!	Sophocles, Ash, and Kiawe meet Horacio again, while Lana, Lillie, and Mallow meet him for the first time. Horacio's Charjabug is revealed to have evolved into Vikavolt. Sophocles participates in a Vikavolt race and wins, earning a Buginium Z as a reward. Sophocles receives a Z-Ring from Hapu.
The One That Didn't Get Away!	Lana is revealed to have received a fishing lure from Misty. Lana's Brionne evolves into Primarina.
A Recipe for Success!	Mallow clears a trial set up for her by Oranguru and receives a Grassium Z from Tapu Koko as a reward. Mallow receives an old Z-Ring from Oranguru, which Olivia cleans up and repairs before giving it back to her.
Spying for the Big Guy!	Jessie and James try and fail to catch Bewear and Grandpa Forest, respectively.
A Fiery Training Camp Trick!	Lana and Primarina perform Oceanic Operetta for the first time. In the process, Primarina is revealed to have learned Sparkling Aria. Lillie and Mallow agree to participate in the upcoming Alola League. Sophocles's Vikavolt is revealed to have learned Signal Beam. Kiawe reveals how he met his Turtonator. Sophocles and Vikavolt perform Savage Spin-Out for the first time.
Living on the Cutting Edge!	The wild Meltan are revealed to be multiplying. Ash and his classmates go on their eighth Ultra Guardians mission. The Ultra Guardians attempt to catch a Kartana, but fail as it slices the Beast Ball to pieces. Kartana opens itself its own Ultra Wormhole, allowing it to return home.
A Timeless Encounter!	Professor Kukui is revealed to own a Firium Z. Using Kukui's Firium Z, Ash and Torracat perform Inferno Overdrive for the first time. Ash inspires a young Professor Kukui to create the Alola League in the future. Ash receives his own Firium Z from a Totem Trevenant.
Chasing Memories, Creating Dreams!	Gladion battles Hapu in the Poni Island grand trial and wins, clearing his final grand trial. The construction of Manalo Stadium is completed. Mallow and Tsareena try to perform Bloom Doom for the first time, but fail. Lana's Primarina masters Sparkling Aria, using the move for the first time onscreen in the process. Sophocles's Vikavolt is revealed to have learned Zap Cannon. Professor Kukui reveals that the winner of the Alola League will face the Masked Royal in an exhibition match. Lillie and Snowy successfully perform Subzero Slammer for the first time. Gladion finds Mohn's missing Zoroark and asks it to join him in his search for his father, which Zoroark agrees to.
League Offenders and Defenders!	Ash and his classmates arrive at the Manalo Stadium. Ash meets up with Hau again, while Ash's classmates meet Hau for the first time. Hau is revealed to have completed the Melemele Island grand trial and obtained a Z-Ring and Z-Crystal. Hau's Dartrix is revealed to have evolved into a Decidueye. Ash and his classmates learn the history behind Professor Kukui and Guzma's relationship. Gladion and Hau meet each other for the first time. Ash, his classmates, Jessie, James, Samson Oak, Gladion, Ilima, Guzma, Plumeria, and Hau all enter the Manalo Conference.
Battle Royal 151!	The Manalo Conference begins. Sophocles's Togedemaru is revealed to have learned Spiky Shield. Plumeria is revealed to own a Salazzle. Guzma is revealed to own a Scizor. Ash, his classmates, Jessie, James, Gladion, Hau, Faba, Ilima, Acerola, Mina, Guzma, and Samson Oak make it through the Battle Royal preliminary round. Hau is revealed to own an Alolan Raichu. The match-ups of the first round are revealed to be: Ash versus Faba Ilima versus Guzma Hau versus Samson Oak Mallow versus Lana Sophocles versus Mina Jessie versus James Kiawe versus Acerola Lillie versus Gladion
Battling Besties!	Ash defeats Faba, advancing to the second round. Ilima is revealed to own a Kangaskhan, a Kangaskhanite, and a Key Stone. Guzma defeats Ilima, advancing to the second round. Samson Oak is revealed to own an Alolan Exeggutor. Hau defeats Samson Oak, advancing to the second round. Lana's Primarina is revealed to have learned Icy Wind. Mallow and Tsareena successfully perform Bloom Doom for the first time. Lana defeats Mallow, advancing to the second round.
The Battlefield of Truth and Love!	Sophocles defeats Mina, advancing to the second round. James defeats Jessie, advancing to the second round. Acerola is revealed to have caught the Greedy Rapooh. Kiawe defeats Acerola, advancing to the second round. Snowy is revealed to have Snow Cloak as its Ability. Gladion defeats Lillie, advancing to the second round. The match-ups of the second round are revealed to be: Gladion versus James Ash versus Hau Kiawe versus Sophocles Guzma versus Lana Rowlet asks a Wingull to bring its foster family to the Manalo Stadium.
Imitation Is the Sincerest Form of Strategy!	Ash's Rowlet begins to learn Feather Dance with the help of its foster family. Gladion defeats James, advancing to the semifinals. Ash begins his second round battle against Hau. Hau is revealed to have obtained a Decidium Z.
Battling on the Wing!	Ash's Rowlet masters Feather Dance. Ash wins his battle against Hau, advancing to the semifinals. Ash's Meltan starts calling for its fellow Meltan to meet up with it. Kiawe and Sophocles begin their second round battle.
The Road to The Semifinals!	Sophocles's Vikavolt is revealed to have learned Wild Charge. Kiawe wins his battle with Sophocles, advancing to the semifinals. Guzma defeats Lana, advancing to the semifinals. Kiawe and Ash are revealed to face Gladion and Guzma, respectively, in the semifinals.
The Final Four!	Kiawe begins his battle against Gladion in the semifinals. Kiawe's Turtonator learns Focus Blast.
Getting Down to The Ire!	Gladion wins his battle with Kiawe, advancing to the finals. Ash begins his battle with Guzma in the semifinals.
The Wisdom Not to Run!	Ash wins his battle against Guzma, advancing to the finals to face Gladion. Guzma tries to disband Team Skull, but his underlings choose to remain with him.
Final Rivals!	Professor Oak, Delia, and Mimey arrive at Manalo Stadium to watch Ash's battle in the Manalo Conference finals. The wild Meltan arrive at Manalo Stadium and reunite with Ash's Meltan. The wild Meltan combine with Ash's Meltan, causing it to evolve into Melmetal and learn Double Iron Bash. Ash begins his battle with Gladion in the finals.
Enter the Champion!	Gladion is revealed to have obtained a Ghostium Z. Ash and Gladion's battle ends in Ash's victory, making him the winner of the Manalo Conference and the first Champion of Alola. A Guzzlord appears from an Ultra Wormhole, interrupting the awards ceremony.
Z-Move Showdown!	Two Shiny Guzzlord appear from two other Ultra Wormholes. Professor Kukui is revealed to own a Lucario and an Electrium Z. Ash's Poipole returns, having evolved into a Naganadel and learned Thunderbolt. Using Kukui's Electrium Z, Naganadel performs Gigavolt Havoc for the first time. The three Guzzlord are defeated and sent back to Ultra Space. Ash discovers that the Masked Royal is Professor Kukui.
Exhibition Unmasked!	Professor Kukui's identity as the Masked Royal becomes public knowledge. Ash and Professor Kukui decide to make their exhibition match a Full Battle. Naganadel rejoins Ash's party. Ash begins his exhibition match against Professor Kukui.
A Full Battle Bounty!	Ash continues his exhibition match against Professor Kukui. Professor Kukui is revealed to own a Venusaur and an Empoleon. Ash uses his Naganadel in an official battle for the first time. Ash's Naganadel is revealed to have learned X-Scissor.
Fiery Surprises!	Ash continues his exhibition match against Professor Kukui. Ash's Naganadel uses X-Scissor for the first time and is revealed to have learned Sludge Bomb and Dragon Pulse. Ash's Torracat evolves into Incineroar. Tapu Koko takes over as Kukui's final Pokémon in the match.
From Z to Shining Z!	Professor Kukui receives a Tapunium Z from Tapu Koko. Ash's Electrium Z permanently transforms into a Pikashunium Z. Ash defeats Tapu Koko, winning his exhibition match against Professor Kukui. The Manalo Conference ends.
Dreams of the Sun and Moon!	Ash's Naganadel returns to its home world. Ash's classmates reveal their dreams and holiday plans. Sophocles plans to travel to Mossdeep City and visit the Mossdeep Space Center with Molayne. Lana plans on finding a Manaphy during an ocean survey with her father. Mallow plans to turn Aina's Kitchen into a restaurant where both humans and Pokémon can eat. Lillie plans to restore Magearna. Kiawe plans to continue his island challenge and eventually become an island kahuna. Ash battles Kiawe and wins. Kiawe's Charizard performs Inferno Overdrive for the first time. Magearna becomes active again. Ash decides to return to Pallet Town and begin traveling around the world.
Thank You, Alola! The Journey Continues!	Team Rocket, receiving an order from Giovanni to return to the HQ, release Mimikyu and Mareanie, leave their Z-Power Ring with them, say goodbye to Bewear and Stufful, and return to Kanto. Nebby returns to say goodbye to Ash. Rotom decides to stay and work at Aether Paradise. Lillie leaves Alola along with Gladion and Lusamine to search for Mohn with Magearna's help. Ash returns to Pallet Town, leaving all the Alolan Pokémon in his team with Professors Kukui and Burnet. Sophocles heads to Mossdeep City with Molayne. Lana leaves for the ocean survey to find Manaphy with her father. Shaymin turns into its Sky Forme by touching Gracidea flowers brought by Ulu, and leaves Mallow. Hau battles Nanu in the Ula'ula Island grand trial, but the end result is left unknown. Professor Burnet is revealed to be pregnant.
