In Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl, Ash Ketchum arrives in the Sinnoh region with his Pikachu and meets Dawn, a new Trainer aspiring to become a Top Pokémon Coordinator. Joined by his old friend Brock, the trio journeys through Sinnoh as Ash aims to collect eight Gym Badges for the Sinnoh League, while Dawn participates in Pokémon Contests. Along the way, Ash has his ideologies as a Trainer challenged by his newest rival, Paul, and the trio gets involved in a plot schemed by the villainous Team Galactic, linking their journey with the fate of the entire Sinnoh region.

Following a Maiden's Voyage!	Dawn, a beginning Trainer and aspiring Coordinator, leaves Twinleaf Town to start her Pokémon journey. Dawn sees the spirit of a Mesprit at Lake Verity. Dawn chooses Piplup as her first partner Pokémon and receives a Pokédex and six Poké Balls from Professor Rowan. Ash arrives at Sinnoh, only to have Pikachu taken away and lost by Team Rocket, who followed him to the region.
Two Degrees of Separation!	Dawn decides to make her Coordinator debut at the Jubilife City Pokémon Contest. Dawn tries to catch a Buneary and a Burmy, but fails both times. Dawn runs into Ash's Pikachu and attempts to catch him, but fails since he has a Trainer already. Ash's Pikachu accidentally destroys Dawn's bicycle. Dawn meets and fights Team Rocket for the first time. Ash meets Professor Rowan for the first time. James is revealed to own a Carnivine, which he retrieves from his second summer cottage. Brock arrives in Sinnoh and rejoins with Ash. Ash catches a Starly.
When Pokémon Worlds Collide!	Ash and Brock meet Paul, Ash's newest rival. Paul catches three Starly and releases two, keeping the one that knows Aerial Ace, only to release it later as well. Ash and Brock find Pikachu and meet Dawn for the first time in the middle of a battle with Team Rocket. Ash changes into a new outfit, sent to him by his mother. Ash and Brock decide to travel with Dawn. Brock meets Professor Rowan for the first time, while Dawn meets Paul for the first time. Paul challenges Ash to a three-on-three battle, which ends in a tie. Paul is revealed to own a Chimchar. Ash decides to head for the Oreburgh Gym after the Jubilife Contest.
Dawn Of A New Era!	Dawn fails to catch a wild Buneary for the second time. Ash and his friends meet Nando. Dawn has her first Trainer battle against Nando and loses. Brock reveals that he has only brought Bonsly with him to Sinnoh, having left his other Pokémon at the Pewter Gym. Ash registers for the Sinnoh League. Ash, Dawn, and Brock learn that James owns a Carnivine. James's Carnivine is revealed to know Bite. Nando's Budew evolves into Roselia. Ash has a battle with Nando and wins. Nando declares his intention to compete for both Badges and Ribbons, thus making him a rival of both Ash and Dawn.
Gettin' Twiggy With It!	James's Carnivine is revealed to know Bullet Seed. Ash catches a Turtwig.
Different Strokes for Different Blokes	Ash and his friends encounter Paul again. Paul's Chimchar is revealed to know Dig. Paul catches a Stantler but subsequently releases it. Paul catches an Ursaring. Ash has a battle against Paul and loses, suffering his first loss to Paul.
Like It or Lup It!	Dawn's Piplup learns how to use Contest Moves.
Gymbaliar	Jessie's Dustox is revealed to know Stun Spore. Brock catches a Croagunk.
Setting the World on its Buneary!	Dawn catches a Buneary, making it her first caught Pokémon in her journey.
Not on My Watch Ya Don't!	Ash and his friends arrive in Jubilife City. Dawn obtains a Pokétch.
Mounting a Coordinator Assault!	Ash, Dawn, and Brock meet Zoey, Dawn's first rival. Ash and Dawn are issued a Sinnoh Contest Pass and obtain a Ribbon case, Ball Capsule, and Seals. Jessie adopts a persona by the name of Jessilina to participate in Pokémon Contests in the Sinnoh region. Ash, Dawn, Zoey, and Jessilina enter the Jubilife City Pokémon Contest and compete in the Performance Stage. In the process, Dawn makes her debut as a Coordinator and Ash participates in an official Pokémon Contest for the first time.
Arrival of a Rival!	Dawn, Ash, Jessilina, and Zoey advance to the Battle Stage of the Jubilife City Pokémon Contest. James's Carnivine is revealed to know Bind. Zoey defeats Ash in the quarterfinals, Dawn in the semifinals, and Jessilina in the finals. Zoey wins the Jubilife Contest and earns her second Ribbon, the Jubilife Ribbon.
A Staravia is Born!	Ash's Starly is revealed to have started learning Aerial Ace. Jessie's Dustox is revealed to know Gust. Brock's Bonsly learns Mimic. Ash's Starly evolves into Staravia and masters Aerial Ace.
Leave It To Brocko!	Brock's Bonsly evolves into Sudowoodo.
Shapes of Things to Come!	Ash and his friends arrive in Oreburgh City and meet Roark, the local Gym Leader. Ash receives a Sinnoh Badge case. Paul is revealed to have obtained an Azumarill. Paul's Chimchar is revealed to have Blaze as his Ability. Paul defeats Roark in a Gym battle and earns the Coal Badge.
A Gruff Act to Follow!	Paul gives his Azumarill to a young boy. Ash battles Roark in his first Sinnoh Gym match and loses.
Wild in the Streets!	Brock's Sudowoodo is revealed to have Rock Head as its Ability. Jessie attempts and fails to catch an Aerodactyl. Roark's Cranidos evolves into Rampardos. Dawn learns that a Pokémon Contest will be held in Floaroma Town.
O'er the Rampardos we Watched!	Ash has a rematch with Roark and wins, earning him his first Sinnoh League Badge, the Coal Badge.
Twice Smitten, Once Shy!	Dawn catches, releases, and recatches a Pachirisu. While Pachirisu is released, Jessie tries to catch it, but fails.
Mutiny in the Bounty!	Ash and his friends meet Pokémon Hunter J.
Ya See We Want An Evolution!	Team Rocket encounters the Magikarp salesman again.
Borrowing on Bad Faith!	Dawn and Jessie enter an unofficial Pokémon Contest. Jessie defeats Dawn in the second round and wins her first Pokémon Contest.
Oh Do You Know The Poffin Plan!	Ash and his friends arrive in Floaroma Town. Dawn learns how to make Poffins.
Getting the Pre-Contest Titters!	Dawn meets up with Kenny, her childhood friend and newest rival. Ash and Brock meet Kenny for the first time. Ash has a battle with Kenny, which gets interrupted by Team Rocket. Dawn's Piplup learns Whirlpool. Dawn, Kenny, and Jessilina enter the Floaroma Town Pokémon Contest.
Settling a Not-So-Old Score!	Dawn, Kenny, and Jessilina advance to the Battle Stage of the Floaroma Town Pokémon Contest. Dawn defeats Kenny in the final round and wins the Floaroma Contest. Dawn earns her first Contest Ribbon, the Floaroma Ribbon.
The Champ Twins!	Ash and Dawn have their first Tag Battle together.
Some Enchanted Sweetening	Ash, Dawn, and Brock meet Cheryl, who joins the group. Cheryl catches a Burmy, which later evolves into Mothim.
The Grass-Type is Always Greener!	Ash and his friends meet Gardenia. Ash has an unofficial battle with Gardenia, and loses.
An Angry Combeenation!	Cheryl finds the Honey she was searching for, and leaves the group.
All Dressed Up with Somewhere to Go!	Ash, Dawn, Brock, Jessie, and James all enter the Pokémon Dress-Up Contest. Brock wins the Dress-Up Contest, receiving a Pokémon Egg as a prize.
Buizel Your Way Out of This!	Ash and his friends meet up with Zoey again. Dawn learns that a Pokémon Contest will be held in Hearthome City. Dawn catches a Buizel that Ash and Zoey previously failed to catch.
An Elite Greet and Meet!	Ash and his friends meet Lucian, a member of the Sinnoh Elite Four. Ash learns about the Champion League. Dawn and Buizel battle Lucian and his Bronzong, but are defeated. Buizel begins to obey Dawn. Dawn has a rematch with Lucian, but he calls it off after seeing how well Dawn and Buizel now work together.
A Secret Sphere of Influence!	Ash and his friends arrive in Eterna City and meet up with Nando again. Nando is revealed to own a Sunflora and to have won the Forest Badge, as well as his first Contest Ribbon. Ash also meets the Officer Jenny from Viridian City again. Ash, Dawn, and Brock learn that Gardenia is the Gym Leader of the Eterna Gym. Team Rocket, hired by Team Galactic, attempts to steal the Adamant Orb from the Eterna Historical Museum, but are foiled.
The Grass Menagerie!	Ash has an official Gym battle with Gardenia and wins, earning the Forest Badge.
One Big Happiny Family!	Brock's Egg hatches into Happiny. Brock polishes a white stone into an Oval Stone for Happiny.
The Rise of Darkrai	Dawn obtains a Lunar Wing. Dawn competes in the Alamos Town Pokémon Contest, which is eventually won by Allegra.
Top-Down Training!	Ash and his friends encounter Paul again. Ash, his friends, and Paul meet Cynthia, the Sinnoh League Champion. Paul's Chimchar is revealed to have learned Fire Spin. Paul is revealed to own a Weavile and a Murkrow. Paul's first partner Pokémon is revealed to have been a Turtwig, which has already evolved into a Torterra. Paul has a Full Battle against Cynthia and loses by forfeit. Paul is revealed to have traveled through Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto and participated in their respective League Conferences. The Lustrous Orb is discovered near Celestic Town.
A Stand-Up Sit-Down!	Ash and his friends meet up with Zoey again. Zoey is revealed to have caught a West Sea Shellos in the same lake where Dawn caught her Buizel. Dawn learns that the Hearthome Contest and the Sinnoh Grand Festival will follow the Double Performance format. Marina is revealed to have become a Top Coordinator. Marina's Wani-Wani is revealed to have evolved into a Feraligatr. Dawn attempts the Ice Aqua Jet combination for the first time and fails. Jessilina has a two-on-two Contest Battle against Zoey and loses.
Mass Hip-Po-Sis!	Ash and his friends encounter a roaming wild Hippopotas.
Ill-Will Hunting!	Ash and his friends meet up with Gary, with Dawn meeting him for the first time. Ash and his friends encounter J again.
A Maze-ing Race!	Ash and his friends encounter Paul again. Paul attemps to catch a Fearow, but it is left unclear whether he succeeds or not. Dawn obtains the Coin Toss app for her Pokétch.
Sandshrew's Locker!	Ash and his friends meet Mira, who later teleports them to Hearthome City with the help of her Abra.
Dawn's Early Night!	Ash and his friends meet up with Nando again. Ash learns that the Gym Leader of the Hearthome Gym is currently away. Nando is revealed to have obtained a Kricketune. Ash and Brock decide to enter the Hearthome City Tag Battle Competition after learning about it from Nando. Dawn meets up with Zoey again while Nando meets her for the first time. Dawn, Zoey, Nando, and Jessilina enter the Hearthome City Pokémon Contest. Dawn loses in the Performance Stage while her rivals advance to the Battle Stage. Nando defeats Jessilina and Zoey to win the Hearthome Ribbon, his second Contest Ribbon overall.
Tag! We're It!	Ash, Dawn, and Brock enter the Hearthome City Tag Battle Competition and are paired with Paul, Conway, and Holly, respectively. Paul's Chimchar is revealed to have learned Flamethrower. The three teams advance to the second round of the competition.
Glory Blaze!	Paul is revealed to have caught a Ninjask after he returned to Sinnoh. Conway is revealed to own an Aggron. Ash and Paul, Dawn and Conway, and Brock and Holly advance to the semifinals. Paul releases Chimchar. Ash invites Chimchar to join his team.
Smells Like Team Spirit!	Chimchar joins Ash's party. Dawn and Conway win their semifinal match. Ash and Paul defeat Brock and Holly in the semifinals. Conway is revealed to own a Heracross. Paul's Elekid evolves into an Electabuzz. Ash and Paul defeat Dawn and Conway in the finals, winning the Hearthome City Tag Battle Competition and receiving a Soothe Bell each. Paul gives his Soothe Bell to Ash. Ash learns of a Gym in Veilstone City and decides to head there next.
Tears For Fears!	Ash's Chimchar overcomes his fear of Zangoose.
Once There Were Greenfields!	The group encounters Gardenia again. Ash and Dawn have a Tag Battle with James and Gardenia and win. James's Cacnea begins to learn Drain Punch. James leaves his Cacnea with Gardenia for training.
Throwing the Track Switch	Kenny is revealed to have earned the Sage Ribbon and another Ribbon. Ash and his friends meet up with Zoey again. Dawn learns that the next Pokémon Contest will be held in Solaceon Town. Ash and Dawn trade their Aipom and Buizel.
Journey to the Unown!	Ash and his friends arrive in Solaceon Town and meet Kenny again. Dawn's Aipom learns Double Hit and later evolves into Ambipom. Kenny is revealed to have obtained a Breloom. Saturn steals a cube from the Solaceon Ruins. Kenny agrees to help Turtwig learn Energy Ball.
Team Shocker!	Ash's Turtwig continues to learn Energy Ball with Kenny's help. Dawn, Kenny, and Jessilina enter the Solaceon Town Pokémon Contest. Dawn fails to pass the Performance Stage for the second time in a row, resulting in her losing confidence in her abilities. Jessilina defeats Kenny in the finals and wins the Solaceon Contest, earning the Solaceon Ribbon, her first Contest Ribbon. Zoey returns to advise Dawn in matters of Pokémon Contest performances.
Tanks for the Memories!	Brock's Happiny learns Secret Power and is also revealed to know Pound. Ash's Turtwig continues to learn Energy Ball. Dawn begins to suffer a lack of confidence after her recent Pokémon Contest losses.
Hot Springing a Leak!	Dawn reunites with her childhood friend Leona, while Ash and Brock meet her for the first time. Dawn and Leona have a Tag Battle against Ash and Brock, which ends in a draw.
Riding the Winds of Change!	Ash and his friends meet Paul again. Paul catches a Gliscor. Ash's Turtwig masters Energy Ball. Ash catches a Gligar.
Sleight of Sand!	Ash and his friends encounter the wild Hippopotas again. Dawn meets Butch and Cassidy for the first time. Butch is revealed to own a Shuckle while Cassidy is revealed to own a Granbull.
Lost Leader Strategy!	Ash and his friends arrive in Veilstone City and meet Maylene, the local Gym Leader. Ash and his friends meet Reggie, Paul's brother and a Pokémon Breeder who takes care of Paul's Pokémon. Reggie reveals some events that happened to Paul: Paul's Murkrow evolved into Honchkrow. Paul caught a Magmar, replacing his Chimchar. Paul defeated Maylene and earned the Cobble Badge. Ash has a battle with Reggie and wins. Reggie promises to help Ash to teach his Staravia to use Brave Bird. Dawn decides to have a Gym battle with Maylene to rebuild Maylene's confidence.
Crossing the Battle Line!	Ash's Staravia begins to learn Brave Bird with the aid of Reggie and his Staraptor. Dawn has her first-ever Gym battle with Maylene, and loses. The outcome of the battle restores the confidence of both Dawn and Maylene.
A Triple Fighting Chance!	Ash's Staravia perfects Brave Bird. Ash's Buizel learns Water Pulse and is revealed to have Swift Swim as his Ability. Ash has a Gym battle with Maylene, which ends in a tie, but he still receives the Cobble Badge.
Enter Galactic!	Ash decides to head for the Pastoria Gym next via Lake Valor. Ash and his friends learn of Team Galactic and encounter them for the first time. Ash and his friends encounter Team Galactic Commander Saturn for the first time. Ash's Pikachu and Paul's Electabuzz settle their differences. Reggie prepares to send Electabuzz back to Paul. The cube Team Galactic stole from the Solaceon Ruins earlier is revealed to be the Spear Key. Brock's Croagunk starts a rivalry with Saturn's Toxicroak. Team Galactic begins the development of the Red Chain.
The Bells Are Singing!	Ash's Gligar is revealed to know X-Scissor, Sand Attack, and Steel Wing.
Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! (Part 1)	Ash and his friends meet Pokémon Ranger Kellyn. Ash and Brock meet Solana again, while Dawn meets her for the first time. Dawn learns about Pokémon Rangers, and also learns that Ash can use Aura. Ash and his friends meet a special Riolu that is capable of using Aura Sphere.
Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! (Part 2)	J steals the special Riolu. Ash saves Riolu from J and the man J is working for.
Crossing Paths	Jessie releases her Dustox so she could breed.
Pika and Goliath!	Ash reveals that he still has the Thunder Stone he received in Vermilion City. Ash's Pikachu reaffirms his decision to not evolve into Raichu. Team Rocket steals Ash's Thunder Stone, planning to sell it.
Our Cup Runneth Over!	Dawn learns about the upcoming Wallace Cup and decides to enter. Ash and his friends meet Wallace, a Contest Master and the current Hoenn League Champion. Wallace recommends that Ash enters the Wallace Cup with Buizel, which he agrees to do. May contacts Ash from Snowpoint City.
A Full Course Tag Battle!	May arrives at Lake Valor for the Wallace Cup. Dawn and May meet for the first time. May's Eevee is revealed to have evolved into a Glaceon while in Snowpoint City, and to have learned Ice Beam and Iron Tail. It is revealed in a flashback that Drew's Roselia has evolved into a Roserade. May is revealed to have won three Johto Ribbons.
Staging A Heroes' Welcome!	Ash, Dawn, May, Jessilina, and Zoey enter the Wallace Cup. May and Zoey meet for the first time. May's Squirtle is revealed to have evolved into a Wartortle during her travels in Johto and learned Aqua Tail. Zoey is revealed to have obtained a Finneon. Ash, Dawn, May, and Zoey make it to the Contest Battles while Jessilina loses in the Performance Stage.
Pruning a Passel of Pals!	Ash encounters a mysterious Pokémon near Lake Valor. Ash and his friends compare about their encounters with the lake guardians. May's Bulbasaur is revealed to have evolved all the way into a Venusaur during her travels in Johto. Buizel perfects the Ice Aqua Jet combination. Ash loses his second match in the Battle Stage to Kyle. May, Dawn, Zoey, and Kyle advance to the semifinals.
Strategy With a Smile!	Dawn and May defeat Kyle and Zoey, respectively, in the semifinals of the Wallace Cup. May's Beautifly is revealed to have learned Aerial Ace. Dawn and May face each other in the finals. May's Glaceon is revealed to have learned Secret Power, Ice Shard, and Mirror Coat. Dawn wins the Wallace Cup and her second Contest Ribbon, the Aqua Ribbon, finally breaking her losing streak. May and Zoey leave the group, and May returns to Johto.
The Thief That Keeps on Thieving!	Jessie catches a Yanma. Team Rocket sends Yanma to Giovanni, who sends her back after deciding he does not need her. Jessie's Yanma evolves into Yanmega.
Chim - Charred!	Paul tries to catch a Drapion, but fails when Ash's Gligar accidentally interrupts the encounter. Ash and his friends encounter Paul again. Ash challenges Paul to a three-on-three battle, but it gets called off after the first two duels. Ash's Chimchar activates Blaze, which causes him to go on a violent rampage until he is stopped by Ash.
Cream of the Croagunk Crop!	Ash and his friends arrive in Pastoria City and meet the local Gym Leader, Crasher Wake. James is revealed to have caught his Carnivine at the Great Marsh. Brock enters the Pastoria Croagunk Festival competition and loses.
A Crasher Course in Power!	Ash has a Gym battle with Crasher Wake and wins, earning the Fen Badge.
Hungry For the Good Life!	Jessie's Yanmega is revealed to know Steel Wing. Dawn catches a Swinub. Dawn learns that a Pokémon Contest will be held in Celestic Town.
Fighting Fear With Fear!	Ash and his friends meet up with Gary again. Gary gives Ash a Razor Fang. Ash's Gligar perfects X-Scissor. Ash uses the Razor Fang to evolve his Gligar into a Gliscor. Jessie's Yanmega is revealed to know Silver Wind.
Arriving in Style!	Ash and his friends return to Hearthome City and learn that the Gym Leader still has not returned. Ash, Dawn, and Jessilina participate in the Hearthome Collection. Dawn wins the Hearthome Collection while Ash receives a special award for his unique performance. Dawn turns down the Poké Chic campaign to focus on her career as a Pokémon Coordinator.
The Psyduck Stops Here!	Dawn's Swinub is revealed to know Dig.
Camping It Up!	Ash, Dawn, and Brock enroll in the Pokémon Summer Academy. Ash and his friends meet up with Conway again. Ash and his friends meet Angie, another student in the Summer Academy.
Up Close and Personable!	Ash and his friends continue their week in the Pokémon Summer Academy.
Ghoul Daze!	Ash and his friends continue their week in the Pokémon Summer Academy.
One Team, Two Team, Red Team, Blue Team!	Ash, Dawn, Brock, Jessie, Conway, and Angie compete in the Pokémon Triathlon and Ash wins. The Red Team gets the most points. The week in the Pokémon Summer Academy ends.
Playing the Leveling Field!	Ash and his friends meet Fantina, the Hearthome City Gym Leader. Zoey has a Contest Battle with Fantina and loses. Ash has an unofficial battle with Fantina and forfeits. Fantina's Drifloon evolves into a Drifblim. Zoey is revealed to have won her third Contest Ribbon.
Battling the Generation Gap!	Ash and his friends arrive in Celestic Town. Dawn, Jessilina, and Lila enter the Celestic Town Pokémon Contest. Dawn meets Lila, a famous Pokémon Stylist and an old rival of Johanna. Dawn defeats Lila in the final round and wins the Celestic Contest. Dawn earns the Celestic Ribbon, her third Contest Ribbon overall.
Losing Its Lustrous!	Team Galactic steals the Adamant Orb. Ash and his friends meet Cynthia again. Ash and his friends meet Professor Carolina and Cyrus for the first time. Ash and Dawn learn that the mysterious Pokémon they saw at Lake Verity and Lake Valor were Mesprit and Azelf. Brock's Croagunk is revealed to have Anticipation as his Ability. Ash and his friends encounter Mars, another Team Galactic Commander.
Double Team Turnover!	Cynthia is revealed to own a West Sea Gastrodon. Team Galactic obtains the Lustrous Orb. Cyrus is revealed to be the boss of Team Galactic. Team Galactic begins plans to capture the lake guardians.
If the Scarf Fits, Wear It!	Ash and his friends meet up with Angie again.
A Trainer and Child Reunion!	Ash and his friends meet Aaron, a member of the Sinnoh Elite Four. Aaron reveals he is going to battle Cynthia for the title of Sinnoh League Champion. Aaron's Beautifly, which he abandoned as a child, rejoins his team.
Aiding the Enemy!	Aaron battles Cynthia for the title of Pokémon Champion and loses. Ash and his friends meet up with Paul again. Paul is revealed to have won the Relic Badge. Ash has a one-on-one battle with Paul and loses. Ash's Turtwig evolves into Grotle. Paul's Torterra teaches Grotle how to deal with his reduced speed.
Barry's Busting Out All Over!	Ash and his friends return to Hearthome City and meet Barry. James learns from Barry that his Cacnea has perfected Drain Punch with Gardenia's help. Ash battles Barry and wins. Ash prepares for his Gym battle against Fantina.
A Shield with a Twist!	Jessilina enters the Majolica Town Pokémon Contest and wins, earning her second Ribbon. Ash invents the Counter Shield technique. Ash has an official Gym battle against Fantina and wins, earning the Relic Badge.
Jumping Rocket Ship!	Ash and his friends arrive in Canalave City. Meowth claims to be learning Night Slash, but refuses to use the move due to its scariness. Barry leaves the group to train at Iron Island.
Sleepless in Pre-Battle!	Ash arrives at the Canalave Gym, only to find out that the local Gym Leader is away training on Iron Island. Dawn's Swinub evolves into Piloswine.
A Breed Stampede!	Dawn learns that a Pokémon Contest is scheduled to be held in Chocovine Town. Kenny is revealed to have earned the Gerbera Ribbon, his third overall. Nando is revealed to have earned the Beach Rose Ribbon, his fourth overall. Dawn's Piloswine learns Ancient Power and starts disobeying its Trainer. Ash's Gliscor is revealed to have learned Screech and learns Fire Fang. Ash's Grotle begins to utilize the lessons that were taught to it by Paul's Torterra. Dawn's Piloswine evolves into Mamoswine, but remains disobedient. Ash learns that the Canalave Gym Leader has returned.

Ash and his friends meet Riley. Barry is revealed to own a Heracross. The group encounters Commander Mars of Team Galactic again. Team Galactic excavates a mysterious temple and, using the Spear Key, causes it to send out a strange beam that impacts Mt. Coronet.
Saving the World from Ruins!	Ash and his friends stop Team Galactic's Iron Island operation. James's Carnivine learns Vine Whip. Team Galactic escapes with the Spear Key again. Team Galactic learns that Spear Pillar is located somewhere on Mt. Coronet. Professor Carolina arrives on Iron Island to investigate the connection between the island ruins, Veilstone City's meteorites, and Spear Pillar.
Cheers on Castaways Isle!	Ash and his friends make it to Chocovine Town.
Another One Gabites the Dust!	Dawn meets Ursula, a fellow Coordinator and her newest rival. Dawn's Pachirisu learns Super Fang. Dawn, Jessilina, and Ursula enter the Chocovine Town Pokémon Contest. Jessie's Yanmega is revealed to have Speed Boost as her Ability. Dawn defeats Ursula in the final round and wins the Chocovine Contest. Dawn earns her fourth Contest Ribbon, the Chocovine Ribbon.
Noodles! Roamin' Off!	The Team Rocket trio disbands, but eventually gets together again.
Pursuing a Lofty Goal!	Ash and his friends meet Paul again. Ash, James, and Paul enter the Squallville PokéRinger competition. Ash's Staravia evolves into Staraptor and learns Close Combat. Ash defeats Paul for the first time and wins the Squallville PokéRinger.
Trials and Adulations!	Mamoswine begins to obey Dawn.
The Lonely Snover!	Ash's Grotle learns Rock Climb. Dawn learns that a Pokémon Contest will be held in Sandalstraw Town.
Stopped in the Name of Love!	Ash and his friends arrive in Sandalstraw Town and meet up with Barry and Kenny again. The group learns about an upcoming Pokémon Ping Pong Tournament, which Barry is planning to enter. Dawn's Piplup begins to evolve, but chooses not to. Nurse Joy gives Dawn an Everstone to prevent Piplup's evolution.
Old Rivals, New Tricks!	Dawn, Kenny, and Jessilina compete in the Sandalstraw Town Pokémon Contest. Kenny is revealed to have obtained a Machoke. Dawn battles Kenny in the finals and loses, resulting in her first loss to Kenny. Kenny wins the Sandalstraw Contest and earns his fourth Ribbon, the Sandalstraw Ribbon. Kenny leaves the group. Ambipom discovers her talent for ping pong. Dawn decides to enter the Pokémon Ping Pong Tournament along with Ash and Barry.
To Thine Own Pokémon Be True!	Ash, Dawn, Barry, and Jessie all enter the Pokémon Ping Pong Tournament, but they end up being defeated. Barry leaves the group. Dawn's Ambipom leaves with O for training to become a Ping Pong champion.
Battling a Cute Drama!	Dawn, Ash, and Brock all receive winter clothing from Johanna and change into it.
Classroom Training!	Ash and his friends arrive in Snowpoint City and meet up with Zoey again. Ash and his friends meet Candice, the Snowpoint City Gym Leader. Zoey is revealed to have earned her fourth Contest Ribbon.
Sliding Into Seventh!	Ash has a Gym battle against Candice and wins, earning the Icicle Badge. Ash and his friends encounter Paul again. Zoey meets Paul for the first time.
A Pyramiding Rage!	Ash and his friends meet Reggie again. Paul learns that Ash has completed the Kanto Battle Frontier before. Brandon arrives at Snowpoint City in order to investigate the Snowpoint Temple. Ash and Brock encounter Brandon again, while Dawn meets him for the first time. Paul challenges Brandon to a Full Battle, but loses. Paul is revealed to have obtained a Hariyama, a Nidoking, and a Lairon. Reggie suggests that Paul and Ash should have a Full Battle in ten days.
Pillars of Friendship!	J returns and awakens Regigigas forcefully at the Snowpoint Temple, resulting in it going on a rampage. Brandon battles Regigigas and attempts to capture it in order to stop it, but is stopped by J before he can do so. Regigigas is calmed down and returned to the Snowpoint Temple. Brandon decides to stay at the Snowpoint Temple in order to rebuild it.
Frozen on Their Tracks!	Ash, Dawn, and Brock are revealed to have gone back to wearing their regular outfits. Ash and his friends meet Looker. Brock's Sudowoodo learns Hammer Arm. Looker is revealed to be investigating Team Galactic.
Pedal to the Mettle!	Ash and his friends reach Lake Acuity. Ash and Paul begin their Full Battle. Paul's Magmar is revealed to have evolved into a Magmortar.
Evolving Strategies!	Ash's Chimchar evolves into Monferno and learns Mach Punch. Ash and Paul's Full Battle ends in Paul's victory.
Uncrushing Defeat!	Brock sees the spirit of Uxie at Lake Acuity. Dawn learns that a Pokémon Contest will be held in Lilypad Town.
Promoting Healthy Tangrowth!	Dawn's Mamoswine learns Hidden Power.
Gateway to Ruin!	Ash and his friends meet Looker again, and they, along with Team Rocket, discover that he is a member of the International Police. Ash and his friends encounter Team Galactic again and meet Commander Charon for the first time.
Three Sides to Every Story!	Ash and his friends learn that Johanna is going to be the chairperson of the Twinleaf Festival.
Strategy Begins at Home!	Ash and his friends arrive in Twinleaf Town. Ash and Brock meet Johanna for the first time in person. Johanna is revealed to own an Umbreon. Ash and his friends learn that Professor Oak will be attending the Twinleaf Festival. Dawn has a two-on-two Contest Battle against Johanna and loses.
A Faux Oak Finish!	Dawn meets Professor Oak in person for the first time.
Historical Mystery Tour!	Ash and his friends meet up with Barry, who has returned for the Twinleaf Festival. Ash and Dawn meet Palmer, Barry's father.
Challenging a Towering Figure!	Brock meets Palmer for the first time. Ash learns about the Sinnoh Battle Frontier and Palmer's Tower Tycoon status. Ash, Dawn, Brock, and Barry all enter the Festival Battle Challenge. Ash wins the tournament and is thus allowed to challenge Palmer. Ash discovers that his Grotle can receive a temporary power-up if it swallows an Energy Ball. Ash battles against Palmer and loses. Ash learns of a Gym in Sunyshore City and decides to head there after the Lilypad Town Pokémon Contest. The Twinleaf Festival ends, and the group leaves Twinleaf Town.
An Egg Scramble!	Ash and his friends meet Lyra and Khoury, two Pokémon Trainers from Johto. Dawn has a battle with Lyra during the Johto Festival and wins. Lyra rewards Dawn of her victory with an Egg, which later hatches into a Cyndaquil. Lyra and Khoury join the group.
Gone With the Windworks!	Dawn's Cyndaquil has its first Pokémon battle with Ash's Grotle, but the battle is called off by Brock. Dawn's Cyndaquil is revealed to know Flame Wheel, Smokescreen, and Swift. Lyra is revealed to own a Girafarig.
A Rivalry to Gible On!	Ash and Khoury attempt to catch the same Gible, with the latter succeeding.
Dressed for Jess Success!	James disguises himself as Jessilina and participates in his first Pokémon Contest. Dawn's Mamoswine enters a Pokémon Contest for the first time. Dawn competes in the Lilypad Contest, but is knocked out in the semifinals, suffering her first loss to Jessilina. James wins the Lilypad Contest, earning Jessie her third Contest Ribbon.
Bagged Then Tagged!	Ash and Dawn have a Tag Battle against Lyra and Khoury, which Ash and Dawn win. Khoury's Totodile evolves into a Croconaw. Brock receives a Pokégear from Khoury's father. Lyra and Khoury leave the group and return to Johto.
Unlocking the Red Chain of Events!	Dawn learns that a Pokémon Contest will be held in Daybreak Town and will follow the Double Performance format. Team Galactic completes the creation of the Red Chain. Ash and his friends encounter Team Galactic Commander Jupiter for the first time. Jupiter reveals that Team Galactic knows that Brock saw Uxie at Lake Acuity. Ash and his friends encounter Looker again and rescue him from the Fuego Ironworks. Team Galactic discovers the gateway to the Spear Pillar. Cyrus hires Pokémon Hunter J to capture Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie.
The Needs of the Three!	Ash and his friends meet up with Cynthia again. Pokémon Hunter J succeeds in capturing the lake guardians and hands them over to Team Galactic. J's ship is destroyed by Mesprit and Uxie's Future Sight and crashes into Lake Valor, leaving J's fate unknown. The lake guardians are placed under Cyrus's control, but they manage to teleport Ash, Brock, and Dawn to the Team Galactic HQ before being completely subdued. Ash and his friends learn that Cyrus is the boss of Team Galactic. Cyrus prepares to summon Dialga and Palkia.
The Battle Finale of Legend!	Cyrus succeeds in briefly summoning Dialga and Palkia. Brock's Croagunk manages to defeat Saturn's Toxicroak, ending their rivalry. Ash, Dawn, and Brock set Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie free from Team Galactic's control. The group join forces with the lake guardians to stop Cyrus and becalm Dialga and Palkia. Cyrus disappears through a portal created by Dialga and Palkia; his ultimate fate is unknown. The previously stolen Adamant Orb and Lustrous Orb are recovered. Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter are arrested, thereby bringing down Team Galactic.
The Treasure Is All Mine!	Dawn learns that James comes from a rich family. James is briefly reunited with his childhood companion Growlie at one of his old mansions. Growlie is revealed to know Dig. Jessebelle returns once again to try and marry James, but to no avail. Dawn encounters Jessebelle for the first time.
Mastering Current Events!	Ash's Gliscor learns Giga Impact. Ash leaves his Gliscor with McCann for training.
Double-Time Battle Training!	Zoey wins the Brussel Contest and earns her fifth Ribbon, thereby completing her requirement for the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Paul is revealed to have earned the Mine Badge and collected the eight Gym Badges required for the Sinnoh League. Zoey is revealed to have obtained a Kirlia and a Leafeon. Dawn attempts the Flame Ice combination for the first time and fails. Dawn has a Double Battle against Zoey and loses.
A Meteoric Rise to Excellence!	Ash tries to help a Gible learn Draco Meteor. Gible starts to follow Ash and his friends.
Gotta Get a Gible!	Ash and his friends meet up with Barry, who is revealed to have won three more Badges, bringing his total count up to six. Ash catches the Gible that he previously befriended. Ash uses Gible in a battle against Empoleon and suffers his first loss to Barry. Ash's Gible is revealed to know Rock Smash.
Short and To the Punch!	Ash's Buizel learns Ice Punch.
A Marathon Rivalry!	Ash encounters and competes at the Pokéathlon for the first time.
Yes in Dee Dee, It's Dawn!	Ash and his friends arrive in Daybreak Town and meet up with Ursula again. Ursula is revealed to have obtained a Plusle, a Minun, and a Jigglypuff. Ash and Brock learn that Dawn has a fear of Plusle and Minun. Ash and Brock learn why Dawn's friends Kenny and Leona call her Dee Dee (Japanese: ピカリ Pikari). Dawn, Ursula, and Jessilina all enter the Daybreak Contest and advance to the Battle Stage.
Playing the Performance Encore!	Jessilina is knocked out of the Daybreak Town Pokémon Contest by Ursula. Dawn's Cyndaquil is entered in a Pokémon Contest for the first time. Dawn's Cyndaquil and Mamoswine perfect the Flame Ice combo. Dawn defeats Ursula in the final round and wins the Daybreak Contest. Dawn earns her fifth Ribbon, the Daybreak Ribbon, completing her requirement for entry into the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Dawn overcomes her fear of Plusle and Minun, and is no longer annoyed with being called Dee Dee (Japanese: ピカリ Pikari).
Fighting Ire with Fire!	Ash and his friends meet up with Barry again. Barry is revealed to have earned two more Badges, thus bringing his total to eight and qualifying him for the Sinnoh League. Barry meets Paul for the first time and challenges him to a battle, which Paul refuses. Dawn learns that there are seven Pokémon Contests remaining before the Sinnoh Grand Festival, and that the event itself will be held at Lake Valor. Ash's Monferno activates Blaze and goes on a rampage again. Ash's Monferno evolves into an Infernape.
Piplup, Up and Away!	Dawn's Piplup learns Hydro Pump.
Flint Sparks the Fire!	Ash and his friends reach Sunyshore City and meet Volkner, the Sunyshore Gym Leader, and Flint of the Sinnoh Elite Four. Ash battles Flint and loses. Volkner agrees to battle Ash.
Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs (Part 1)	Ben receives a mission to stop the Pokémon Pinchers' misdeeds. Ben meets Ukulele Pichu and attempts to capture it.
Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs (Part 2)	Ben succeeds in capturing Ukulele Pichu. Ben confronts the Pinchers at Rasp Cavern.
The Fleeing Tower of Sunyshore!	Ash begins his Gym battle against Volkner, but it is interrupted when Team Rocket steals the Sunyshore Tower. Ash's Grotle evolves into Torterra and learns Leaf Storm. Sunyshore Gym is damaged due to Team Rocket's scheme, causing Ash's Gym battle to be postponed until it is repaired.
Teaching the Student Teacher	Ash and his friends meet up with Johanna. Jessilina enters the Neighborly Town Pokémon Contest and wins, earning her fourth Ribbon. Dawn perfects a new combination move, which she calls Ice Chandelier. Dawn receives a new outfit for the Grand Festival from her mother.
Keeping in Top Forme!	Ash and his friends meet Marley.
Pokémon Ranger: Heatran Rescue!	Ash and his friends meet Ben, a Pokémon Ranger.
An Elite Coverup!	Ash and his friends meet Sinnoh Elite Four member Bertha. Ash has a battle against Bertha, but loses.
Dawn of a Royal Day!	Ash and his friends arrive in Arrowroot Town and meet Princess Salvia, a doppelgänger of Dawn. Dawn and Salvia decide to switch places for a day, with Salvia entering into the Arrowroot Contest. Jessilina enters the Arrowroot Contest as well, but loses to Salvia in the finals. Jessilina receives the Arrowroot Ribbon from Salvia, thus becoming eligible to enter the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Dawn receives a Togekiss as a gift from Salvia.
Dealing with a Fierce Double Ditto Drama!	Ash and his friends arrive at Valor Lakefront for the Sinnoh Grand Festival.
Last Call, First Round!	Dawn enters the Sinnoh Grand Festival alongside Zoey and Jessilina. Nando, Kenny, and Ursula are revealed to have earned their fifth Contest Ribbons and enter the Grand Festival as well. Nando is revealed to have earned six more Gym Badges and to have obtained a Kricketot and an Altaria. Zoey's Shellos is revealed to have evolved into a Gastrodon while her Finneon is revealed to have evolved into a Lumineon. Kenny is revealed to have obtained a Floatzel and his Prinplup is revealed to have evolved into an Empoleon. Ursula is revealed to have obtained two Eevee, which she evolves into a Vaporeon and a Flareon during her appeal. Dawn, Nando, Ursula, Zoey, and Jessilina successfully clear the Performance Stage. Kenny fails to make it through to the Battle Stage and is eliminated from the Grand Festival.
Opposites Interact!	Dawn defeats Ursula and advances to the eighth-finals of the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Zoey, Nando, and Jessilina also advance to the eighth-finals of the Sinnoh Grand Festival.
Coming Full Festival Circle!	Dawn, Zoey, Nando, and Jessilina advance to the semifinals of the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Zoey's Misdreavus is revealed to have evolved into a Mismagius. Nando is revealed to have obtained a Lopunny and his Roselia is revealed to have evolved into a Roserade. Zoey and Dawn defeat Nando and Jessilina, respectively, and advance to the finals of the Sinnoh Grand Festival.
A Grand Fight for Winning!	Zoey's Kirlia is revealed to have evolved into a Gallade. Zoey defeats Dawn in the final round of the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Zoey receives the Ribbon Cup and the title of Top Coordinator. Jessie abandons her career as a Pokémon Coordinator. Ash learns that the Sunyshore Gym is fully repaired and Volkner is ready for their Gym battle.
The Eighth Wonder of the Sinnoh World!	Ash returns to Sunyshore City for his rematch against Volkner. Ash's Infernape activates his Blaze Ability again, and he gains control of it for the first time. Ash defeats Volkner and earns the Beacon Badge, allowing him to participate in the Sinnoh League. Ash learns that the Sinnoh League will take place on Lily of the Valley Island in one month.
Four Roads Diverged in a Pokémon Port!	Ash and his friends meet up with Kenny and encounter Jasmine. Dawn meets Jasmine for the first time. Ash battles Kenny and loses. Flint reveals that he will battle Cynthia for the title of Sinnoh League Champion. Ash and his friends head to Lily of the Valley Island.
Bucking the Treasure Trend!	Ash and his friends meet Buck. Buck catches a Claydol.
An Old Family Blend!	Ash and his friends arrive at Lily of the Valley Island for the Lily of the Valley Conference. Paul, Barry, Nando, and Conway also enter the Lily of the Valley Conference, having earned the eight Gym Badges required. Ash decides to use the Pokémon he has stored at Professor Oak's Laboratory, alongside the Pokémon he has acquired in Sinnoh, during the tournament, and subsequently spends time with several of them. Ash's Cyndaquil is revealed to have learned Flame Wheel, evolves into Quilava, and learns Eruption. The Lily of the Valley Conference begins. Ash learns he will be battling Nando in the first round of the tournament.
League Unleashed!	Nando is revealed to have obtained an Armaldo. Ash's Quilava is revealed to have learned Aerial Ace. Ash's Heracross is revealed to have learned Sleep Talk and Focus Punch. Ash defeats Nando in the first round, advancing to the second round. Barry, Conway, Tobias, and Paul also make it through the first round. Ash learns that a mysterious Trainer has entered the tournament with a Darkrai.
Casting a Paul on Barry!	Ash wins his second round battle, advancing to the third round. Paul, Barry, Conway, and Tobias are revealed to have also advanced to the third round. Ash and Paul are selected to battle Conway and Barry, respectively, in the third round. Paul's Electabuzz is revealed to have evolved into an Electivire. The mysterious Darkrai Trainer is revealed to be named Tobias. Barry is revealed to own a Skarmory and a Hitmonlee. Paul defeats Barry and advances to the quarterfinals.
Working on a Right Move!	Ash's Infernape learns Flare Blitz. Conway is revealed to have obtained a Shuckle, a Lickilicky, and a Dusknoir. Ash's Noctowl is revealed to have learned Sky Attack, Air Slash, and Extrasensory. Ash's Gible masters Draco Meteor. Ash defeats Conway and advances to the quarterfinals. Tobias advances to the quarterfinals as well. Ash learns that he will face Paul in the quarterfinals. Ash's Gliscor returns to Ash for the battle against Paul.
Familiarity Breeds Strategy!	Ash and Paul begin their Full Battle in the quarterfinals. Paul is revealed to have obtained a Gastrodon and a Drapion, while his Lairon is revealed to have evolved into an Aggron.
A Real Rival Rouser!	Ash and Paul continue their Full Battle. Paul is revealed to still own the Ninjask he had caught shortly before catching Chimchar, and to have obtained a Froslass. Ash's Gliscor is revealed to have learned Stone Edge.
Battling a Thaw in Relations!	The Full Battle between Ash and Paul ends in Ash's victory, resulting in Ash's first victory over Paul in a traditional Pokémon battle. Ash and Paul settle their differences and end their rivalry. Ash learns he will be battling Tobias in the semifinals. Paul announces his intention to head to Snowpoint City and re-challenge Brandon.
The Semi-Final Frontier!	Ash's Heracross is revealed to have learned Hyper Beam. Ash's Sceptile is revealed to have learned Leaf Storm. Tobias is revealed to own a Latios. Ash battles Tobias in the semifinals and loses, placing Top 4. Tobias defeats his opponent in the finals, thus winning the Lily of the Valley Conference. The Lily of the Valley Conference ends.
The Brockster Is In!	Brock's Happiny evolves into Chansey and learns Soft-Boiled. Nurse Joy suggests to Brock that he train to become a Pokémon Doctor. Ash and his friends reach Twinleaf Town.
Memories are Made of Bliss!	Dawn decides to remain in the Sinnoh region. Ash and Dawn reaffirm their desires to become Pokémon Master and Top Coordinator, respectively. Brock decides to study to become a Pokémon Doctor. Team Rocket is introduced to Matori, Giovanni's secretary. Jessie, James, and Meowth are promoted. Flint battles Cynthia for the title of Pokémon Champion and loses. Ash and Brock return to Kanto and go their separate ways. Ash and Pikachu reach Pallet Town.
DPS01	Dawn's Cyndaquil evolves into Quilava and learns Eruption. Dawn decides to leave Sinnoh with all of her Pokémon and compete in Pokémon Contests in Hoenn.
DPS02	Forrest is revealed to own a Rhyperior. Forrest is officially made the Pewter City Gym Leader.
