Zoroark and Mohn

Prior to the start of Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, Mohn used Zoroark in his grand trial battle against Hala's Hariyama. It was able to win, earning Mohn a Z-Ring. When Mohn disappeared into an Ultra Wormhole, it ran away.

In Chasing Memories, Creating Dreams!, Gladion went searching for Zoroark on Melemele Island for help in finding Mohn. Unbeknownst to him, Zoroark was discreetly following him, changing into different Pokémon with its Illusion Ability along the way to keep itself hidden. At night, when Gladion and Umbreon came across what appeared to be a Lurantis, Gladion ordered Umbreon to attack the Pokémon, causing Zoroark to revert to normal. Gladion urged it to come with him and help him find his father, which it accepted, joining his team.

In Final Rivals!, Zoroark was the second Pokémon Gladion sent out in his battle against Ash in the Manalo Conference finals, facing Ash's Pikachu. Using its Illusion Ability to disguise itself as Lycanroc, Zoroark surprised Pikachu with a Night Daze attack and followed up by cutting through his Electroweb with Shadow Claw. Though successful, Pikachu managed to get behind Zoroark and hit it with a Thunderbolt, removing the effects of its Ability and revealing its true form. The battle continued in the next episode, where Zoroark pushed Pikachu back with another Shadow Claw. It then unleashed its Z-Move, Never-Ending Nightmare, which was countered by Pikachu's Breakneck Blitz. The two Z-Moves collided, resulting in a double knockout.

In Dreams of the Sun and Moon!, Zoroark was sent out to meet Magearna in the hopes of awakening the Mythical Pokémon. It immediately recognized the room and Magearna, and created an illusion, showing Gladion and Lillie a flashback of Mohn, Magearna, and an infant Lillie. It was happy when Magearna finally awakened from its slumber.

Pokémon Journeys: The Series

Zoroark reappeared in a flashback in The New Old Gang of Mine!, still searching for Mohn alongside Gladion.

In The Homecoming Crown!, Zoroark reunited with Mohn, but as he was suffering from amnesia, he initially didn't recognize Zoroark as his former partner. When Mohn turned out to be living with a Nihilego, Zoroark almost attacked it, but was stopped by Lusamine. In the end, once Mohn had regained his memories, Zoroark joined the rest of his family to take a picture.

In Helping the Hometown Hero!, Zoroark and Gladion returned to Alola. Zoroark, alongside the rest of Gladion's team, later trained to prepare for Gladion's upcoming battle with Ash.

Personality and characteristics

Zoroark is very close with Mohn, as it was very upset when it ran away following Mohn's disappearance. It is a strong Pokémon, able to keep up with Hala's Hariyama despite the type-disadvantage. It was shown to be playful, as seen in Chasing Memories, Creating Dreams!, when it followed Gladion along his journey while he searched for it.
