Tough Claws boosts the power of the Pokémon's contact moves by approximately 30% (more precisely, a factor of 5325/4096).

Although the following moves are affected by the Ability, they currently cannot be learned by any Pokémon with Tough Claws. They may, however, be used after a Pokémon with Tough Claws learned the move via Mimic, or be used by a Pokémon that gained Tough Claws by an Ability like Trace or Receiver or a move such as Skill Swap or Role Play.

Outside of battle

Tough Claws has no effect outside of battle.
