The Razor Fang (Japanese: するどいキバRazor Fang) is a type of held item introduced in Generation IV. It allows Gligar to evolve into Gliscor, and also allows the holder's moves to cause Pokémon to flinch.
Grants certain moves used by the holder a 10% chance of causing targets to flinch.
Each strike of a multistrike move has an independent chance of causing the target to flinch.
Generation IV
Grants the moves listed below a 10% chance of causing each target to flinch. This chance is not affected by Serene Grace.
In this generation only, due to the way this item's effect is resolved, U-turn will be able to flinch the target only if the Pokémon being switched into is holding the item.
Generation V onward
Grants all attacking moves that do not already have a chance to flinch a 10% chance of causing each target to flinch. This chance is affected by Serene Grace and the rainbow created by Fire Pledge and Water Pledge. Razor Fang does not activate Sheer Force, but Sheer Force removes the chance to flinch if the move already has an additional effect.
An item to be held by a Pokémon. This sharply hooked fang may cause the target to flinch whenever the holder successfully inflicts damage on them with an attack.
