The Pokémon Research Lab (Japanese: ポケモン研究所 Pokémon Laboratory), previously known as the Sycamore Pokémon Lab (Japanese: プラターヌ ポケモン研究所 Platane Pokémon Laboratory), is a laboratory in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. It is located along South Boulevard within the Vert District. The lab is currently run by acting director Mable, succeeding Professor Sycamore.

In the games

Pokémon X and Y

In Pokémon X and Y, the player can receive either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle upon defeating Professor Sycamore in a Pokémon battle early in the game, as well as their corresponding Mega Stone. After the player enters the Hall of Fame, they can return to the lab to get the Poké Radar from one of the scientists on the second floor.

On the second floor, the player can change Rotom's forms.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the player can receive either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle from Mable early in the game.

On the second floor, the player can revive Tyrunt or Amaura from a Jaw Fossil or Sail Fossil, respectively. This is unlocked after completing a side mission in which the player is given money to purchase a Jaw Fossil or Sail Fossil from the Stone Emporium. The player receives either Tyrunt or Amaura after the lab assistant revives it from the Fossil.
