Hyperspace Primordial Sea (Japanese: 異次元ミアレ 始まりの海 Otherdimensional Miare: Sea of the Beginning) is a pocket of Hyperspace Lumiose formed from Kyogre's subconscious. The player encounters and battles Rogue Primal Kyogre here. After calming it down, the player catches Kyogre and receives the Blue Orb as reward.
Geography
This pocket of Hyperspace Lumiose takes the form of the bottom floor of Hoenn's Cave of Origin, as depicted in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, the cavern in which the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre descends upon to awaken its true powers. It is an underground cavern covered in water and shining, blue crystals, including a giant cluster on the ceilling. The cavern contains gaps of void scattered around it.
On the ceilling, Hyperspace Desolate Land can be seen upside down, almost reflecting Hyperspace Primordial Sea.
Special encounters
The player fights Kyogre here. The player is partnered with Korrina and Urbain/Taunie for this battle.
Kyogre will use Surf and Ice Beam to attack the player and their Pokémon, and will primarily target the player with Thunder.
(First phase)
After Kyogre's HP is lowered to 0, it undergoes Primal Reversion, completely recovering HP. During this phase, Kyogre is immune to Fire-type moves unless it is stunned.
In addition to the moves listed, it can also create Origin Pulse beams in multiple directions around itself. The direction of each beam is telegraphed by a laser-like effect before the beams form, and after a few seconds, the beams will make a complete rotation around Kyogre. It will also use Thunder multiple times in succession targeting the player.
Trivia
- The location's name references Primordial Sea, the signature Ability of Primal Kyogre, sharing a name with it in all languages, with or without the language's word for "Hyperspace".
