The Ruins of Conflict (Japanese: 戦の遺跡 Ruins of Conflict) are a location on Melemele Island in Alola, located north of the Plank Bridge on Mahalo Trail.
The Ruins of Conflict are where the guardian deity of Melemele Island, Tapu Koko, can be found. In Pokémon Sun and Moon, during the denouement, after the player first enters the Hall of Fame, they visit the ruins with Lillie and challenge Tapu Koko to a battle. If the player defeats or flees from Tapu Koko, they may return to the ruins after the credits roll to challenge it again, without needing to enter the Hall of Fame again. In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, this does not occur, and Tapu Koko can only be encountered and battled during the post-game.
Geography
Like the other ruins of Alola, the Ruins of Conflict consist of a simple entrance area, walkway, and the interior, where the shrine for Tapu Koko is located. Unlike the other ruins, however, the walkway in these ruins does not contain any sort of puzzle, allowing it to be crossed without the need to use Machamp Shove.

anime
The Ruins of Conflict first appeared in Trial and Tribulation!, where Ash and Hala went there to pray for Tapu Koko's blessing before their grand trial battle. The ruins made a brief reappearance in A Dream Encounter!, where Tapu Koko was seen there, sensing the birth of a Cosmog.
In Full Moon and Many Arms!, Hala was shown there, paying respects to the Blinding One as a part of the Manalo Festival. Tapu Koko was also seen nearby, watching the sunrise. In Securing the Future!, Hala led the people and Pokémon gathered at the site into sharing their light with Necrozma through an Ultra Wormhole so it could return to its true form.

Pokémon Adventures
The Ruins of Conflict appeared in Going Ashore and Neighboring Akala Island. Gladion traveled there in order to meet with Tapu Koko, only to find Guzma, who informed him that Tapu Koko wasn't there. Guzma then offered Gladion a position as an enforcer for Team Skull after having seen his skills at the Iki Town festival tournament. Gladion accepted the offer, and the two headed off to Team Skull's hideout.
