Battle zone (Lumiose City)
- If you were looking for the Battle Zone sub-region that appears in the Sinnoh-based games, see Battle Zone.

Battle zones (Japanese: バトルゾーン battle zone) are designated areas fenced off with red holographic technology that appear at night within Lumiose City. The battle zones are spaces where Trainers go to compete and battle each other as part of the Z-A Royale.
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, a battle zone will appear at night somewhere within the city. After the Infinite Z-A Royale is established, the number of battle zones that activate each night increases from one to three. Within a battle zone, Trainers will challenge the player on sight, and can catch the player's Pokémon off guard, briefly causing them to be unable to move. Conversely, the player can hide behind objects in the environment and initiate a surprise attack on unsuspecting Trainers to gain an advantage.
List of battle zones
There are eleven possible battle zones that can appear each night.
