Gare de Lumiose (Japanese: ミアレ駅 Miare Station) is a train station in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. It is located at Station Front within the Vert District. It is one of the two train stations in Lumiose City, the other being the Lumiose Station in the North Boulevard.
History
The Gare de Lumiose appears in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. As part of Lumiose City's urban redevelopment plan, the station was constructed one year after the events of Pokémon X and Y in order to connect Lumiose City to a nearby airport. The Gare de Lumiose was opened to the public with a grand ceremony, although the ceremony was attended by only Pokémon.
The player enters the station at the start of their adventures in Lumiose City, their train having just arrived from the airport. The player may interact with the other NPCs who were on the same train, but the station can not be re-entered once the player leaves.
At any time during gameplay, the player may interact with the Gare de Lumiose building to see that there is a train bound for the airport. The game heavily discourages the player from boarding this train, but they may try anyway; if they do, they will wake up on a bench in front of the Vert Pokémon Center, implying that the thought of leaving the city was only a dream.
Trivia
- "Gare de Lumiose" is French for Lumiose Station, which is the name given to a different location within the city in Pokémon X and Y. The original Lumiose Station is inaccessible in Legends: Z-A, and eventually becomes part of Wild Zone 6.
