Description He is the strong leader of a group of toughs in Alola called Team Skull. The group's rowdy members obey him, and his kindness has earned their devoted respect.

Guzma (Japanese: グズマ Guzma) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Golisopod. The sync pair can be obtained through the sync pair scout since March 27, 2020. The pair's potential can be upgraded to Masters EX star.png 6★ EX from April 19, 2021, which unlocks Guzma's EX Style.

Guzma is also available in his special costume partnered alongside Buzzwole. The sync pair can be obtained through a limited sync pair scout and was first available on November 11, 2021. The pair's potential can be upgraded to Masters EX star.png 6★ EX from when the pair was first released.

Golisopod

Raising this sync pair to 6★ EX will unlock Song Key 07004, which allows "Battle! (Guzma) (Pokémon Masters EX Version)" to be played in the Jukebox.

Trivia

  • Guzma (Special Costume) & Buzzwole were the first sync pair to have access to the Physical Moves ↑ Next effect.

Origin

Guzma's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Golisopod is Guzma's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Golisopod's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Buzzwole is one of the Ultra Beasts, which play a notable role in the story of Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, though Guzma does not own one in the core series games. Buzzwole's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Moon.
