Trivia
- Acerola's two variants are the only Alolan Elite Four sync pairs that are not Strike (Physical) roles.
- All versions of Acerola use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Lillie, Sophocles, Olivia, Nanu, Kahili, and Molayne.
Origin
Acerola's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Palossand is Acerola's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Palossand's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
While Acerola is not seen using a Mimikyu in the core series games, it is the Totem Pokémon of her island challenge trial, and she has one in the anime. Mimikyu's Dex entries come from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
