Tupp (Japanese: タッパ Tupper) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime. He is a member of Team Skull, who often appears alongside Zipp and Rapp, and acts as the leader of the trio.

Tupp when he was younger

As a child, Tupp was a boy who sought to be popular with girls, but they instead became attracted to Ilima and his Eevee, causing Tupp to develop a deep hatred towards him. At some point, he chose to join Team Skull.

Tupp first appeared in Alola to New Adventure!, where he, Zipp, and Rapp challenged Kiawe to a battle with his Charizard on the line. Tupp and the other Grunts took on his Turtonator nine against one, until Ash came to assist Kiawe with his Pikachu. After a short battle, Tupp and his partners were defeated by Turtonator's Z-Move Inferno Overdrive, forcing them to retreat.

Tupp reappeared in Young Kiawe Had a Farm! in which he, Zipp, and Rapp attacked Kiawe and Ash, seeking revenge for their previous defeat. However, the trio was quickly defeated by Pikachu's Gigavolt Havoc.

In Alolan Open House!, he, Zipp, and Rapp visited the Pokémon School, where they stole some Ride Tauros and started wreaking havoc at the school. They were soon confronted by Delia, who took the Grunts on using Ash's Litten. When Ash and his classmates arrived, Team Skull was soon sent off again by Pikachu's Gigavolt Havoc.

Tupp and his teammates reappeared in A Team-on-Team Tussle!, where he encountered Team Rocket for the first time. Both teams fought over a Darkinium Z, which Team Rocket managed to take.

Tupp reappeared again in A Glaring Rivalry!, where he had a battle with Gladion but was quickly defeated by Lycanroc's Stone Edge.

Tupp appeared again in Turning Heads and Training Hard!, where he, upon learning of Ilima's return to the Pokémon School, led a group of Team Skull Grunts there to exact his revenge on him. However, not only were the Grunts easily defeated by Ilima's Eevee, but the female Grunts in the group fell in love with Ilima, making Tupp even angrier.

Tupp appeared yet again in Real Life...Inquire Within!, where they confronted Ash during an attempt to take Poipole. They had a battle, which eventually ended when Zipp's Garbodor's arm became blocked and released a horrible smell.

In The Shape of Love to Come!, Tupp and his teammates encountered Mina, a wandering artist. When Rapp demanded that Mina give up her Ribombee, Mina accepted, but only if they could best her in a drawing competition. Though Mina liked the Team Skull Grunts' drawings enough that she wanted to call it a tie, Tupp was angered by her criticism of his poor drawing and instead decided to battle her. Mina was assisted by the timely arrival of Ash, who defeated Tupp's Salandit with Pikachu.

Tupp has been shown to be mean to other people and hold grudges. This is most evident in Young Kiawe Had a Farm!, where he had Salandit shoot down the Ride Pelipper that Ash was using as revenge for his previous defeat. He tends to proclaim his hatred of Z-Moves following his defeats.

Tupp has shown little concern for his teammates, as shown in A Team-on-Team Tussle!, where he abandoned his teammates in favor of getting the Z-Crystal. He even callously told a concerned Salandit to focus on the job.

Tupp Salandit
Salandit (×3)
Tupp's three Salandit are his only known Pokémon. They first appeared in Alola to New Adventure! in which they took on Ash's Pikachu and Kiawe's Turtonator, but were defeated by Turtonator's Inferno Overdrive.

One of the Salandit later reappeared in Young Kiawe Had a Farm!, where it was attacking Ash and Kiawe. It was soon defeated when Pikachu attacked Team Skull with Gigavolt Havoc. One of the Salandit appeared again in Alolan Open House!, but it was defeated once again by Pikachu's Z-Move.

Salandit reappeared in A Team-on-Team Tussle!, where it attempted to get a Darkinium Z, only for Team Rocket to get it first.

It reappeared again in A Glaring Rivalry!, where it was sent out to battle Gladion's Midnight Form Lycanroc. It was defeated by Lycanroc's Stone Edge.

Salandit made yet another appearance in Turning Heads and Training Hard!, where it took on Ilima's Eevee. It was defeated after its opponent enhanced its stats with Extreme Evoboost.

At least one of Tupp's three Salandit is confirmed to be male. Tupp believes that one is close to evolving, seemingly unaware that male Salandit are unable to evolve into Salazzle.

Salandit's known moves are Venoshock, Flame Burst, Dragon Rage, Toxic, and Scratch.
