Rapp (Japanese: ラップ Wrap) is a recurring character who appeared in the Pokémon anime. She is a member of Team Skull, who often appears alongside Zipp and Tupp.

History

Rapp first appeared in Alola to New Adventure!, where she, Zipp, and Tupp challenged Kiawe to a battle with his Charizard on the line. Rapp and the other Grunts took on his Turtonator nine against one, until Ash came to assist Kiawe with his Pikachu. After a short battle, Rapp and her partners were defeated by Turtonator's Z-Move Inferno Overdrive, forcing them to retreat.

Rapp reappeared in Young Kiawe Had a Farm!, where she, Zipp, and Tupp attacked Kiawe and Ash, seeking revenge for their previous defeat. However, the trio was quickly defeated by Pikachu's Gigavolt Havoc.

In Alolan Open House!, she, Zipp, and Tupp visited the Pokémon School, where they stole some Ride Tauros and started wreaking havoc at the school. They were soon confronted by Delia, who took the Grunts on using Ash's Litten. When Ash and his classmates arrived, Team Skull was soon sent off again by Pikachu's Gigavolt Havoc.

She reappeared in A Team-on-Team Tussle!, where she encountered Team Rocket for the first time. Both teams were after a Darkinium Z which Team Rocket managed to take. She took a shine when she saw a talking Meowth, something that didn't impress her teammates.

Rapp reappeared again in A Glaring Rivalry!, where she had a battle with Gladion but was quickly defeated by Lycanroc's Stone Edge.

She appeared again in Turning Heads and Training Hard!, where she assisted Tupp in getting revenge on Ilima alongside several other Team Skull Grunts. However, they were all defeated when Ilima's Eevee used Extreme Evoboost. In the process, Rapp and the other female Team Skull Grunts fell in love with Ilima.

Rapp appeared yet again in Real Life...Inquire Within!, where they confronted Ash during an attempt to take Poipole. They had a battle, which eventually ended when Zipp's Garbodor's arm became blocked and released a horrible smell.

In The Shape of Love to Come!, Rapp and her teammates encountered Mina, a wandering artist. Rapp, finding Mina's Ribombee to be cute, demanded that Mina hand it over to her. Mina accepted, but only if they could best her in a drawing competition. Though Mina liked the Team Skull Grunts' drawings enough that she wanted to call it a tie, Tupp decided to battle her after receiving criticism for his poor drawing. Rapp's Zubat was easily defeated by Rimbombee's Pollen Puff.

Rapp appeared again in SM099 alongside Tupp and Zipp. She and Tupp fought over a wild Eevee as the former wanted Eevee because she found it cute while the latter wanted to use it to make himself popular with girls. After being rescued by Ash's Pikachu, Eevee teamed up with Lana's Popplio to send the trio blasting off.

Rapp appeared again in SM104 alongside Tupp and Zipp. They were on Poni Island under Plumeria's orders. They had stolen daikon from Hapu's field and were using it to lure and capture a number of Sensu Style Oricorio when they encountered Ash. They sent their Pokémon out to battle Ash, but were stopped when Hapu arrived. Hapu battled Team Skull using her Mudsdale and quickly defeated them. Plumeria showed up, wasn't happy with their efforts, and ordered them to follow her back.

Character

Rapp has been shown to respect Tupp as her leader and agrees with everything he says. In A Team-on-Team Tussle!, when Team Rocket pointed out that Tupp left them behind to go after the Z-Crystal, Rapp completely misunderstood that Tupp was abandoning them.

Rapp has been shown to take a shine to Pokémon she considers cute, as shown in A Team-on-Team Tussle!, where she took a liking to Meowth. This was seen again in The Shape of Love to Come!, where she fawned over Pokémon like Morelull, an Alolan Raichu, a Comfey, and Mina's Ribombee. This is seen again in SM099, where she tried to catch an Eevee.
