Trivia
- Leon shares his Japanese voice actor, Takahiro Sakurai, with his counterpart from the Pokémon: Twilight Wings miniseries.
- Sygna Suit Leon & Eternatus were the first sync pair capable of using max moves. Consequentially, they were also the first sygna suit sync pair capable of using max moves.
- Sygna Suit Leon & Eternatus were the first sygna suit sync pair with a Legendary Pokémon.
- Sygna Suit Leon & Eternatus are the only sync pair to use Eternamax.
- During the story event Winter Wishes, Calyrex briefly takes over Sawyer's body to talk with Leon, referencing how Calyrex frequently speaks through Peony the same way during Pokémon Sword and Shield's The Crown Tundra expansion.
- All versions of Leon use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Victor, Gloria, Hop, Raihan, Sonia, Rose, Red, and Lance.
- As a potential reference to Sygna Suit Leon, Leon obtains Eternatus from Goh in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.
- Out of all limited units, Leon has the longest gap between his initial banner and his rerun banner, at 723 days.
- Out of all limited units, Sygna Suit Leon holds the record for the longest length of time without receiving a rerun in a banner that non-paid Gems can be used on, at 887 days. He first ran on August 12, 2021, and did not receive a non-paid rerun until January 16, 2024.
- Sygna Suit Leon & Eternatus have been available in more sync pair scouts that can only be used with paid Gems than any other limited sync pair, with a total of eight.
Origin
Leon's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Charizard is Leon's signature Pokémon in the core series games, where it is also capable of Gigantamaxing. Charizard's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
In the story of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Leon attempts to catch Eternatus to calm the Darkest Day, but fails. Eternatus's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Shield.
Leon does not own a Calyrex outside this game. Ice Rider Calyrex's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
Leon's Alt outfit is the same outfit he wears when battling the player in the Battle Tower. Dragapult is a Pokémon that Leon uses on his team in the core series games. Dragapult's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
