Ember (Japanese: ひのこ Sparks) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Ember deals damage and has a 10% chance of burning the target.
Ember can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 4 bonus appeal points if Sunny Day was used in the previous turn.

- In A Photoshoot and the Abandoned Thrifty Megamart, Sun's Torracat, Dollar, was confirmed to know Ember through his use of Inferno Overdrive. However, he has never been seen using it.
- Green's Moltres, Blaine's Growlithe, The Masked Man's Houndour, and Courtney's Ninetales were revealed to know Ember on the official web site, but they were never shown using the move.
