Plot
At Pasio Academy, Florian asks Juliana to join the paranormal club, but she's not sure if she can handle scary stuff. Perrin and her Hisuian Growlithe arrive, both to encourage Juliana to join as well as to ask Florian for the club's help on a paranormal case. Perrin recalls arriving in Kitakami trying to search for Bloodmoon Ursaluna to get out of her slump, and has gotten eyewitnesses saying there's a similar Pokemon on Pasio, much to Juliana's shock. Perrin would love to take a photo of a Trainer with an Ursaluna, but her only leads are that it seems to doing a happy dance. Florian pipes up that Ursaluna is a Hisuian Pokemon when Rei arrives. After catching his breath, he's stunned by Perrin's striking resemblance to Adaman, muses about her connection to a Ursaluna, and leads the group off.
That evening, Adaman is strolling around the beach, muttering that Ursaluna sensed something around, before spotting a confused Mai and Arezu wandering in confusion. Running up to them, he first confirms that their memories are intact, before revealing that the two of them have been sent to the future via a space-time distortion. Rei also arrives, shocked by the appearance of two Diamond Clan Wardens, followed by Perrin. Adaman and Perrin stare at each other for a moment before Rei brings things up to speed. Moments later, Adaman's Ursaluna arrives, followed by Mai's Munchlax and Arezu's Hisuian Lilligant. Excited, Perrin quickly steps up to grab her shot, earning Adaman's approval.
Days later, Mai, Arezu and Perrin meet up, the former two having learnt more about sync pairs. Perrin has been having fun taking lots of photos of sync pairs and Arezu has learnt many new hairstyles, but Mai has been feeling lost in her role, noting that that they themselves have little to offer back to Pasio back, something Arezu also concedes. Just then, Barry rushes by in a hurry and runs off, before Mai notices that he dropped something.
The three arrive at the arena, where they observe Barry battling alongside Selene in their Special Costumes in what Perrin compares to the two Hisuians as a play. She notices Barry acting strange, before the three realise what he dropped was his Poryphone. Thinking quickly, Mai had her Munchlax bring it to him, allowing Barry to Mega Evolve Heracross and finish the battle. After the battle, he and Selene meet up to thank them, learning that the two are Wardens of Hisui, which Selene compares them to the Trial Captains of Alola. Suddenly, Munchlax seems to react to something, which Mai pieces together must mean a Massive Mass Outbreak is happening.
The group quickly locates the space-time distortion, and work to save the many Trainers caught within. Mai is grateful that they were able to help everyone, which Perrin cheers up that they were able to because of Munchlax's warning. Contemplating this, Mai later reveals she's been put in charge of a space-time distortion watch that'll also look after any lost Pokemon from different times and space, which Arezu and both Barry and Selene volunteer to help out. Nearby, Adaman muses that Mai finally shook off what was worrying her, and watching Perrin seek out the ultimate shot, he muses about how time is about change, and that ever since arriving on Pasio he's learnt that one can never get the same shot twice. Perrin shyly asks if she can take a photo of Adaman, and Arezu quickly offers to do his hair so he can look his best. Later, as she's looking over her photos in the mountains, Perrin muses to Growlithe that she can't believe she met the pioneers who built history, and sets out her role as a photographer to get all their expressions on Pasio on camera so that she can stand proud next to them.
