Dressed to Give Thanks (Japanese: 感謝を伝える特別衣装 Special Outfits to Express Gratitude) was a story event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pairs Rika (Palentine's 2026) & Quagsire and Adaman (Palentine's 2026) & Sylveon. It also introduced Katy as an NPC.
The "Rika Seasonal Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Rika (Palentine's 2026) & Quagsire for the duration of the event, and the "Adaman Seasonal Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Adaman (Palentine's 2026) & Sylveon starting on February 1, 2026 and lasting until the end of the event.
During this event, players could earn event points by completing battles. Players received rewards based on the number of points accumulated, including 5★ Scout Tickets, a Field Move Candy Coin, a 5★ Power-Up, and medals. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day.
The player could battle using Rika (Palentine's 2026) & Quagsire or Adaman (Palentine's 2026) & Sylveon to obtain +0.6× bonus points; Marley (Palentine's 2025) & Shaymin, Erika (Palentine's 2025) & Lurantis, Victor (Palentine's 2024) & Greedent, Candice (Palentine's 2024) & Darmanitan, Mallow (Palentine's 2023) & Appletun, Elesa (Palentine's 2023) & Togetic, Marnie (Palentine's 2022) & Mawile, Bea (Palentine's 2022) & Vanilluxe, Serena (Palentine's 2021) & Whimsicott, or Dawn (Palentine's 2021) & Alcremie to obtain +0.4× bonus points; and any unlisted sync pairs with the
Sinnoh or
Paldea theme skills to obtain +0.2× bonus points.
This event featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with one or fewer sync pairs fainting and sync pairs with specific theme skills on the team.
Completing the fourth battle in this event would unlock the story areas Adaman's Gratitude and Rika's Gratitude. Playing through each of these areas would reward the player with a special piece of artwork featuring Adaman and Rika, respectively, for the Trainer Lodge
Plot
Adaman and the player are taking a stroll with the former's new Shiny Eevee, who he explains he received from a group of Eevee enthusiasts in on Pasio after they saw his bond with his Leafeon. The two then spot a crowd gathering around Katy's stall, who is selling sweets fit for the upcoming Palentine's Day.
Learning a bit about Palentine's Day, Adaman is a bit stumped on how to show his appreciation for the people and Pokemon who've looked out for him when he's approached by Atticus, who had heard of Adaman being the apprentice of a ninja. Some discussion prompts Atticus to suggest Adaman should wear an outfit to express his gratitude, citing historical custom of donning special costumes on days of celebration and that he should be the very image of the gratitude he wishes to impart, and offers to tailor him one with the aid of Valerie and her numerous apprentices. Adaman bids farewell to the player as he and Atticus depart, just in time for Rika to approach the player, having overheard their conversation herself and is open to the idea of wearing a special outfit.
Rika reveals that she, too, has a number of people to thank, such as her friends at the Paldea Pokemon League, as well as Gym Leaders from other regions like Whitney and Misty whom she met while working on the Pasio sweets campaign, the latter of whom gave her a Shiny Wooper Rika has since raised into an adorable Quagsire. Rika has been thinking hard about how to show her appreciation towards Misty in particular; knowing how she looks up to Lorelei of the Indigo Elite Four, she questions the player if she should meet up as her strong and cool Elite Four persona or her typical friendly approach. Her dilemma is overheard by Katy, who instead asks Rika on which side she considers the real her, a question Rika confesses she has no real answer for. Katy admits that she also has two sides as a Gym Leader, one who goes soft on Trainers at La Primera's request and another that wants to show off the skills of her Bug-types, and thus she has an idea for Rika to honour the duality she has.
On Palentine's Day, Adaman has met up with the player again when Rika runs into them, both of them now dressed in their Palentine's Day outfits. Adaman recognises her from the time Raihan and Poppy had a friend-making battle, and compliments on her looking completely different. Rika is also surprised to learn that Atticus made both their outfits, and expresses support that he achieves his dream to become a successful fashion designer. Rika departs to meet up with Misty, who is stunned by Rika's new look and Quagsire; watching nearby, Adaman reveals to the player that his new Eevee has since evolved into a Sylveon before he sets off himself to find Arezu and Irida.
Having now met up with most of their friends, Adaman and Rika reconvene to chat about one last person they needed to thank, namely the player, and agree on a friendly competition between the two of them to see who can make them happier: Rika eventually brings them along to a fancy restaurant to spoil them with some custom-made chocolates from Katy as well as a full-course feast; Adaman eventually invites them to meet up by a hillside road with a nighttime view to present them with a bouquet of flowers he handpicked and crafted himself at the advice of Mai and Arezu.

Trivia
- This is one of only two Palentine's events where a sync pair including a male Trainer was featured, the other being Victor's Cooking Class!.
- Rika's story of how she became friends with Whitney and Misty is a reference to the events of Good Ol' Rika Here.
- Adaman's mention of the first time he met Rika is a reference to the events of Friend-Making Battle.
- In the menu for this event, once all battles and story areas were completed, the story areas Adaman's Gratitude and Rika's Gratitude were listed between the Battle Challenges and all the other battles, instead of being grouped with the other story areas.
