Mienfoo is a yellow, bipedal, mustelid-like Pokémon, with round ears, red eyes, and a pink nose with a whisker on each side. Its red arms look similar to flared sleeves, and the paws are yellow. Mienfoo’s chest has a small red band, and its pelt piles around its thighs resembling a tunic or robe. Its legs are red, and its yellow tail is also tipped red.
Mienfoo is a yellow, bipedal, {{wp|Mustelidae|mustelid}}-like {{OBP|Pokémon|species}}, with round ears, red eyes, and a pink nose with a whisker on each side. Its red arms look similar to flared sleeves, and the paws are yellow. Mienfoo's chest has a small red band, and its pelt piles around its thighs resembling a tunic or robe. Its legs are red, and its yellow tail is also tipped red.

Mienfoo specializes in flowing, speedy, continuous attacks, becoming more precise as it concentrates. Though not very powerful, it can make this up with quantity. It also has sharp claws it can use to cut foes. Packs of Mienfoo seclude themselves to mountains to focus on their training. Each pack differs in their kick and chop form.
Mienfoo specializes in flowing, speedy, continuous attacks, becoming more precise as it concentrates. Though not very powerful, it can make this up with the number of hits it deals. It also has sharp claws it can use to cut foes. Packs of Mienfoo seclude themselves to mountains to focus on their training. Each pack differs in its kick and chop form. A well-trained Mienfoo is capable of 100 arm chops in just one minute. Mienfoo has a temperamental nature despite its small size. It attacks anyone that comes near it with a flurry of attacks.

===Origin===
===Origin===
Mienfoo appears to be based on combination of a {{wp|Mustelidae|mustelid}} and a user of {{wp|Chinese martial arts|kung fu}}, or a Japanese evil spirit {{wp|kamaitachi}}.
According to [[Ken Sugimori]], Mienfoo and {{p|Mienshao|its evolution}} were created after the game planners requested for {{type|Fighting}} Pokémon based on animals, since most pre-existing Fighting-type Pokémon had been humanoid in appearance. Based on this, Mienfoo was designed after an {{wp|Stoat|ermine}} and a user of {{wp|Chinese martial arts|kung fu}}.<ref>''Nintendo Dream'' Vol. 205, May 2011 ([https://web.archive.org/web/20110402003550/http://shellspider.blog101.fc2.com/blog-entry-562.html Shellspider's blog (Japanese)], [http://lavacutcontent.com/ken-sugimori-nintendo-dream/ Translation by Dr. Lava])</ref> It may also be based on the ''{{wp|kamaitachi}}'', a weasel ''yōkai'' with sharp claws.

Mienfoo (Japanese: コジョフー Kojofu) is a Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V.

It evolves into Mienshao starting at level 50.

Biology

Mienfoo is a yellow, bipedal, mustelid-like Pokémon, with round ears, red eyes, and a pink nose with a whisker on each side. Its red arms look similar to flared sleeves, and the paws are yellow. Mienfoo's chest has a small red band, and its pelt piles around its thighs resembling a tunic or robe. Its legs are red, and its yellow tail is also tipped red.

Mienfoo specializes in flowing, speedy, continuous attacks, becoming more precise as it concentrates.

Evolution

Mienfoo evolves into Mienshao.

Trivia

Origin

According to Ken Sugimori, Mienfoo and its evolution were created after the game planners requested for Fighting-type Pokémon based on animals, since most pre-existing Fighting-type Pokémon had been humanoid in appearance. Based on this, Mienfoo was designed after an ermine and a user of kung fu.[1] It may also be based on the kamaitachi, a weasel yōkai with sharp claws.

Name origin

Mienfoo may be a combination of ermine and kung fu.

Kojofu may be a combination of オコジョ okojo (ermine) and kung fu.
