A basic performance using a move known by the Pokémon.

Fire Fang (Japanese: ほのおのキバ Fire Fang) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation IV that may cause burn and flinching.

Contents

Effect

Fire Fang deals damage and has a 10% chance of burning the opponent. It also has a 10% chance of causing the target to flinch, if the user attacks before the target. It will bypass Wonder Guard, even if it is on a Pokémon that does not have a weakness to Fire-type moves (e.g. a Porygon2 that used Trace on a Shedinja). This does not apply to Ice Fang and Thunder Fang, however.

In the anime

Granbull. Granbull's teeth become ablaze with flames and it bites down on the foe.

Gliscor. Gliscor's fangs become ablaze with flames and it bites down on the target.
