Cheese (Japanese:チーズ cheese) is a type of gimmick in Pokémon Café ReMix.

Characteristics

Description

Games Description
Café To clear a piece of cheese, make a combo next to it three times or hit it with a skill!

Stages

Cheese gimmicks have three stages before they can be cleared. Every piece of Cheese can come in different sizes depending on the order, and they may be placed horizontally or vertically.

Stages of the Cheese

Clearability

Cheese gimmicks can be advanced to their next stage if they are hit by a Pokémon combo. Megaphones, Café Skills, puzzle powers, boosters, Choux pastries or a combo of a Pokémon with the Cheese Specialty gimmick activated will clear pieces of Cheese immediately.

Movability

Cheese gimmicks remain in the same place throughout the completion of the order or until they are cleared.

Trappability

Cheese gimmicks cannot be contained inside container gimmicks.

Effects on puzzle

Cheese gimmicks act like a barrier when they are present in a puzzle, preventing the natural movement of the icons and often trapping other gimmicks within inaccessible areas that require the Cheese gimmicks to be cleared first. They may also decrease the effect of a Megaphone or Café Skill due to the added distance they put between them and the target gimmick.
