Butter (Japanese:バター Butter) is a type of gimmick in Pokémon Café ReMix.

Stages
Butter gimmicks have two stages. They do not revert back to a previous stage.

Multipliability
Butter multiplies. At the end of each turn, one random Butter gimmick in the puzzle, at any stage, will multiply by converting a nearby Pokémon icon into Butter. If at the end of the turn none of the existing Butter gimmicks in the puzzle have a Pokémon icon nearby, they will not multiply.

Clearability
Butter gimmicks will be advanced to the next stage by hitting them with Pokémon combos. Megaphones, Café skills, Puzzle powers, Boosters, Choux pastry or combos made by Pokémon with the Butter Specialty gimmick will clear them immediately.
Movability
Butter gimmicks are stationary. They will remain in a fixed position throughout the duration of the order or until they are cleared.
Trappability
Butter gimmicks can be contained by other gimmicks: Olive oil, Bubbles, Ice cubes, Coffee ice cubes, Mayo, Gummies and Jelly.
