Stages

Pickle jars only have one stage before being cleared. After a Pickle jar is cleared, a single Pickle can be seen briefly as the jar gets emptied.

States
Pickle jars have two states: open and closed. At the beginning of the order, the Pickle jars may start in either of the states and they will alternate between the two states every passing turn. However, if they are trapped inside another gimmick, their state will not alternate until they are freed. Normally, Pickle jars can only be cleared when they are open. Only a link of Pokémon that have the Pickle jars Specialty gimmick activated can clear a closed Pickle jar.
