Stages
Chocolate gimmicks have five stages. They do not revert back to a previous stage and they do not multiply.

Clearability
Pokémon combos will advance Chocolate gimmicks to their next stage. Chocolate gimmicks can be cleared by hitting them five times. Megaphones, Café Skills, puzzle powers, boosters, and Choux pastries or combos made by a Pokémon with the Chocolate Specialty gimmick will clear them immediately.
Movability
Chocolate gimmicks are stationary. They can only change position within the puzzle if they get trapped inside a container gimmick such as Olive oil, Mayo, or Bubbles. They will remain in place wherever they are freed from the container.
Trappability
Chocolate gimmicks can be contained by other gimmicks: Olive oil, Bubbles, Ice cubes, Coffee ice cubes, Mayo, Gummies, and Jelly.
