Stages
Candy jars have two stages. They do not multiply nor revert back to a previous stage.

Clearability
Candy jars are immune to most Pokémon combos. Megaphones, Café skills (including those that advance gimmicks by two stages), Puzzle powers, Boosters will advance them to their next stage; they need to be hit twice to clear them. Combos made by Pokémon with the Candy jars Specialty gimmick will clear them immediately.

Movability
Candy jars behave differently depending on their stage:
- The first stage is stationary. Candy jars will remain in a fixed position in the puzzle throughout the duration of the order or until they are brought to their final stage.
- The final stage is movable. Freed Candies will be moved around the puzzle, pushed by other icons, as the player links Pokémon icons or when setting off megaphones or Café Skills.
