States
Milk & berry jam gimmicks have two states: open and closed. At the beginning of the order, the Milk & berry jam gimmicks may start in either of the states and they will alternate between the two states every passing turn. Normally, Milk & berry jam gimmicks can only be cleared when they are open. Only a link of Pokémon that have the Milk & berry jam Specialty gimmick activated can hit a closed Milk & berry jam gimmick.

Clearability
Milk & berry jam gimmicks are immune to most Pokémon combos. Megaphones, Café skills and Boosters will advance them to their next stage if they are open. Combos made by Pokémon with the Milk & berry jam Specialty gimmick will advance them to their next stage regardless of their state. Puzzle powers will clear them immediately if they are open.
Movability
Milk & berry jam gimmicks are movable with the tendency of falling to the bottom of the puzzle. They will be moved around the puzzle, pushed by other icons, as the player links Pokémon icons or when setting off megaphones or Café Skills.
Trappability
Milk & berry jam gimmicks are yet to appear contained inside other gimmicks.
