Stages
Sugar cubes have three stages. They do not revert back to a previous stage and they do not multiply.

Clearability
Sugar cubes can be advanced to their next stage by hitting them with a Pokémon combo. Sugar cubes can be cleared by hitting them three times. Megaphones, Café Skills, puzzle powers, boosters, and Choux pastries or combos made by a Pokémon with the Sugar cubes Specialty gimmick will clear them immediately.
Movability
Sugar cubes are stationary. They can only change position within the puzzle if they get trapped inside a container gimmick such as Olive oil, Mayo, or Bubbles. They will remain in place wherever they are freed from the container.

Trappability
Sugar cubes can be contained by other gimmicks: Olive oil, Bubbles, Ice cubes, Mayo, Coffee ice cubes, Gummy, and Jelly.
