Koraidon (Japanese: コライドン Koraidon) is a Pokémon and major character in Pokémon Scarlet.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

A long time ago, Koraidon and another member of their kin was bringed from a distant past by Professor Sada's time machine. However, that other kin was more aggresive and badly injured Koraidon, who's flied from Great Crater of Paldea and crash-landed on beach before Inlet Grotto, below Poco Path. A Houndour living in Inlet Grotto started to bully Koraidon, who's tried to startle them with roar, thereby unknowingly attracting the player and Nemona's attention.

Personality and characteristics

In contrast to more aggressive member of own kin, this Koraidon showed a meek and gentle personality. Though initial wary, he's bonded with player and accompany them during their journey in Paldea region. Koraidon shows compassion towards Arven's Mabosstiff and curiousity towards Penny, despite the former's disliking him and latter's shyness. Though during journey he's slowly regaining a own strength, which letting him use different forms to help the player with going through Paldea's terrain, Koraidon still showed a hesistance towards Area Zero and own kin. However, thanks for Arven's support, he's finally overcame own doubts and defeated an another Koraidon.

During Path of Legends quest, Koraidon developed a taste towards Herba Mystica sandwitches Arven making, initial to Arven's perplexity.
